My trip to Tenggulun Restoration Station in Aceh Tamiang was an unforgettable experience for me. This area is located in Aceh, known for the Leuser Ecosystem, a protected forest area. I visited this place with my colleagues to work on a photography project that aims to capture the beauty of nature and the life of the people in the region.

We arrived at Tenggulun Restoration Station in the late afternoon and were greeted by friendly and warm locals. We were given accommodation in the station camp, which was simple but comfortable. The camp was surrounded by lush and green gardens, showing the importance of a healthy environment for the local community.

As night fell, we were invited by the locals to watch a movie together in the open area. The movie played was The Lion King, an animated film that tells the story of the animals in the African savanna. We enjoyed the film while savoring coffee and boiled corn served by the locals. The calm and cool night atmosphere made the movie experience even more special.

During the four days at Tenggulun Restoration Station, we also had the opportunity to interact with the local people and learn about their way of life. We were taken to see the gardens they cultivated and picked some fruits such as rambutan and durian. We also visited a school in the area and spoke with some students who were very enthusiastic about learning and exploring the world outside their village.

One afternoon, we were taken by the locals to bathe in a river not far from the station. The river was very clear and natural, with beautiful scenery surrounding it. We enjoyed the refreshing river water and the peaceful atmosphere around the river.

One thing that caught my attention during my stay at Tenggulun Restoration Station was the change that had occurred in the area. Formerly, the location was a palm oil plantation that damaged the environment and eliminated wildlife habitats. However, now the area has transformed into a more sustainable and healthy plantation that can provide benefits to the local community. This shows the importance of environmental restoration efforts and the preservation of nature for the lives of humans and wildlife in the surrounding area.

After four enjoyable days at Tenggulun Restoration Station, we parted ways with the locals who had been very kind and warm during our stay. We left the area with beautiful memories and valuable experiences. Additionally, the photography project we worked on was also a satisfying result, and we hope to contribute to the conservation and development of the area.

On our journey back to the city, I reflected on the importance of environmental preservation and biodiversity for the lives of humans and wildlife. The Leuser Ecosystem is one important example of an environment that needs to be protected and developed well to provide long-term benefits for the local community and future generations.

I also feel inspired to travel to more areas that I have not visited before to get to know the diverse cultures and nature in Indonesia. I believe every region has its uniqueness and beauty, and travel is one of the best ways to broaden one's perspectives and life experiences.
