Namaste 🙏

Hope you all are doing great!!!

It was mahashivratri yesterday and it’s one of a major Hindu Festivals as on this day the marriage of lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati took place. This festival is celebrated throughout India. And all the institutions across country, have a national holiday on this day. So it was my day off from office, and so I decided to get out of my place and explore this town a little bit.

I decided to go to Delhi, that’s about 40 km from Gurugram and the best option to get to Delhi is the Metro. So my first task was to get to the Metro Station and to get to the Metro Station. I decided to call an Uber bike.

Uber bike or Uber Moto is a really affordable way to get around the city. It’s really cheap and faster than the taxis as it easily passes through the traffic. This was my Uber Moto, and I sat on it to enjoy my day.

IMG_8411.jpeg

It was a clear sky with occasional overcast clouds, sometimes covering up the sun. Winters are about to over here in Gurugram and the weather felt exactly the same. It was neither cold or hot, but just in the perfect range.

IMG_8413.jpeg

When we want to go to the nearest metro station, that is MG Road from the place I live in that is sector 14 of Gurugram. On the way we need to cross a flyover, and from that flyover, we see a really unusual building.

IMG_8416.jpeg

This is the weirdest designed building. I have ever seen in my life. Let me know in the comments. What do you think about this building? It looks really interesting from a distance, but as you come closer to it, you will definitely get confused as I always do.

IMG_8417.jpeg

It’s the headquarter of Bata a shoe and leather manufacturing company, and according to me, the design of the building is inspired by the shoeboxes, stacked over one another, forming a tilting structure.

IMG_8419.jpeg

After crossing the flyover, you reach this suburban area of Gurugram called Sukhrali, it’s a bit congested place with shops all around it. There is always something going on in this area.

IMG_8420.jpeg

Because of Shivratri, there were long queues outside the temple of people wanting to get inside of the temple to worship Lord Shiva. Although this temple was the temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, but Lord Hanuman is considered the incarnation of Lord Shiva, so it’s one and the same thing.

IMG_8421.jpeg

The similar situation is everywhere in all the temples across city, and because of that, I decided to get to the temple in the evening time when the crowd is little bit scattered.

IMG_8422.jpeg

The next page of spot after crossing the Sukhrali village is the IFFCO Chowk. It’s one of the major landmarks of Gurugram and it’s a roundabout or Chowk from where for roads cross one is Jaipur Delhi Highway and another one is old Delhi Road.

IMG_8424.jpeg

We need to get to the MG Road Metro station, so we didn’t make a turn anywhere and kept on riding straight towards are left on IFFCO Chowk, there is WestinHotel. It’s one of the best hotels in Gurugram.

In the photographs below, now, you can see the typical traffic that you will find on Indian roads, consisting of rickshaw’s two wheelers and little cars. This photo truly depict how Indian roads look in spite of being in the most developed part of India. I’m not at all talking about the condition of the road, but I’m talking about the kind of vehicles that you only see in India like multicoloured rickshaw, and two wheelers, so it’s really unique experience overall..

IMG_8426.jpeg

After a couple of kilometres, we reached near to the Metro line. The Metro line runs in between the two lanes of the road as you can see in the photograph and as soon as I got near to the metro track, I understood that my station was really close.

IMG_8427.jpeg

Just after a couple hundred metres Metro Station was right in front of me. Uber Moto charge around ₹50 for 3 kilometres and that’s really affordable. That’s less than a dollar, and the service is really in time.

IMG_8428.jpeg

Getting to the Metro Station was just the starting of my journey as I had a lot of places to explore that day, I will be writing about all the places that I explore in coming blogs. I realised that I have not been writing so much lately on hive, so I decided to dedicate a special date to explore the city and make a lot of content to write. You’ll see a lot of blogs in coming days so stay tuned.

That’s all for today. Thanks for passing by.

Peace ☮️
