Namaste 🙏
Hope you all are doing great!!!
Thanks for all the love and support on the Part-1 of this series. I’m more than happy to be the part of this amazing community and I’m always greatful for all the love that I get from you guys.
If you haven’t already seen the part-1 of this series, I’m sharing a link to that below.
So, after having food at the best place we could find, we resumed our journey. We kept on walking on the road and suddenly we saw some school kids going to the school!!!
Just by looking at kids, I suddenly got transported to the past. The memory of me going to the school with by brother suddenly came in front of my eyes. I wondered how I didn’t realise that I don’t remember when was that day when I wore my schools uniform for the last time. When I climbed on the stairs of my school bus, I don’t remember that. I realised that I was so ungrateful for the life at that time and now I long for a life like that.
Now the streets were also becoming quite steep, and we were gaining elevation quickly, we loved how dramatically the terrain was changing as we were walking further.
Just after a while, we saw many monkeys passing by a house near the street, there was a little monkey fight, going on there and monkeys were making different noises. At this moment. I took out my camera to capture them, and I captured some random photos, and when I looked at them, one of them was this perfect photo in which a monkey is standing on its two limbs.
Landour town now has become a mixup of Old and New buildings. You see some of the very old colonial style buildings, still standing, tall over here, and then suddenly, after walking for a short while you see a very modern, very beautiful and elegant newly constructed house. I am quite sure that you will love the quite contrasting views that this town has to offer. It certainly makes you feel like you are in 70s or 80s and just after walking for a few steps, you get to know that you are in future. The only downside of owning a house here is the difficulty of driving a vehicle to your house. You need a lot of experience in a small car. Then only you can park your car at your home. You will not see any big cars like SUVs parked beyond here as it’s really hard to drive them on these curvy’s steep streets and even if a small bike comes in opposite direction of you while you are driving, the whole road gets blocked, and there is hardly a place where you can pass the vehicle.
In spite of the road being narrow, it’s in perfect condition. Now the houses and vehicles started to disappear slowly, and we were entering a more secluded areas. It was getting more peaceful with each step, and we loved every single moment of walking in that street.
We had came along way up and a journey was only halfway complete. We wondered how it would look once we are up there at the highest point. The Landour town was looking very small from up there now.
Around here, there are not many residential houses present, all that is present. Here are some military rest houses some hotels and restaurants. That’s why you can see all the buildings with with gates and their reserved for higher army officials who want to spend a holiday in Landour. We even saw some VIP cars passing by in the narrow streets of Landour.
Entering the forest—
Now we were about to enter the place for which this infinity loop is famous for that is the forest.
There are not many people and houses around here and all that is present here is pure peace and bliss. Tall pine trees around you, cool mountain breeze flowing onto your faces, and the views of himalayan peaks that you get from a little windows of the forest, it’s just so amazing that you have to visit this place to experience it. It cannot be described in the words.
The perfectly maintained street of Landour makes it even better you love it when you take a single step in this amazing forest. We came across two more school going kids and wondered how lucky they were that they were living in such a peaceful environment and getting education from one of the most premier education hub of India. And I forgot to mention that Landour, Mussoorie and Dehradun is famous for all the premier education institutes that are present here from the time of British Raj. This place has been dedicatedly, kept for training and education of the troops as well as higher officials.
The sun was already up, but as we were inside a forest, we were not getting the sunlight. The density of the trees made it hard to sunlight to penetrate the forest, and all We had was hints of sunlight coming down at some distant places. It looked really amazing.
We took this perfect opportunity and the perfect lighting conditions to capture some of the moments that will be staying with us forever. last two photos are some photographs of me taken by my friend. We decided to rest here for 15 to 20 minutes and continue our journey further.
That’s all for today.
Peace ☮️
