Namaste 🙏
Hope you all are doing great!!!
Welcome to the part two of the series, where I’ll be covering up the area around Pangan monastery of Manali. Thanks for the overwhelming response on my first part, and I’m really grateful for everyone who has been through that part and give their precious time to read that post. For those of you who haven’t been through that part, yet, I am posting the link below.

So after being through that pine forest, you come across this beautiful broad area in between the forest from where you can see the view of the whole Valley. The valley looks really mesmerising from here. You will fall in love with the view you will see from here.
After that beautiful spot now comes up place where you will find a couple of houses in between the dried out woods. This road looks really dramatic as you can see.
There are a couple of houses here, and from that house a dog came. I was worried at first that he’s gonna bite us, but we stayed calm and he came near us. He gave us a little sniff and became our friend. He was a really cute mountain dog.
On the right side of the road, there was this beautiful house that was being constructed, and as you can see, this location is just unbelievable. The person who is making this house must put a lot of effort into it and location that he chose is just a bliss. He can see the valley and the mountains all together from here.
We stayed on the spot for a while and survey this beautiful construction. I also thought of making such a house in my orchid.
As already mentioned in the previous post, this road is just about a kilometre long, but in just a kilometre, it changes a lot of colours. Previously it was a dense forest of pine with green tree around it but now it was all dried out place with brown leaves all around us.
As now the forest leaves were gone. The view of the Valley suddenly got really better. And now we can see the neighbouring villages and the forest in the middle of the valley. For the first time, I was also able to see the river.
One thing that was common in both the places were prayer flags. These flags added a really special vibe to this place and they were looking better on the dried out trees.
One thing that I noticed about these flags was they all were converging into a same point on the top of the cliff, and that point was not far away from us. So we decided to get to the point where these flags were converging.
I wondered how difficult it would be to tie all these flags around these high cliffs. Hats off to the people who did that and how magnificent they were looking. I was grateful for the people from my heart as I could feel the peace from within the peace that these flags provided.
In the photograph below, you can see the flags hanging in between two cliffs, and there are many places where they have hanged flags in such a way.
There we were after walking for about 50 m, we were at that point where the flags were converging. It was just a pole where all the flags were tied very tightly. Believe me this place was the place of the dreams. They were flag going in all directions from that pole, and it really looked heavenly.
We spent about 15 minutes there, and now it was time to head to the monastery. The monastery is just five minutes away from this place and no time we were right in front the monastery.
There is a lot to tell about the ministry and there are a lot of places inside the campus of the monastery. There is a school, a temple, many Stupas and a lot of other things which I am going to write about in tomorrow’s blog.
This was the starting of the campus of the monastery, and we could see the settlement of people here this monastery is built on a cliff because Indian government help the Tibetan refugees by providing them lands that was of very less use to the Indian people when Tibet was facing war with China. That’s the reason you will find that most monasteries are built in such places where it’s really hard to build something.
That’s all for today, guys.
See you tomorrow, thanks for passing by.
Peace ☮️
