Namaste 🙏
Hope you all are doing great.!
Today’s post is going to be about yesterday‘s evening drive that I did with my friend to the outskirts of Gurugram. Gurugram is one of the major cities of north India and is considered the IT hub of North India. All the multinational companies and even local Indian based companies have their headquarters or at least one office in Gurugram so it’s considered one of the main hubs for people of northern India to work in.
We started our journey around 5 PM in the evening when the sun was slowly started to go down. As it was Sunday yesterday, so we had spare time to go for a drive otherwise on weekdays, people don’t have any time because of their offices. As it was a day off for both of us, we could plan this journey.
We started from his apartment that is in 52 sector Gurugram and we took the highway that directly gets out of the city. It was a moderate traffic yesterday with a few traffic jams in between as it was evening time.
We were travelling towards the west direction, and the sunset was right in front of our eyes. After driving for about 15 minutes, we could now see the outline of the city, and we would reach the outskirts areas in just the perfect time.
We were enjoying mellow acoustic songs in the car while driving on the outskirts of the main city as we drived out of the city, the traffic was getting less and less dense, and we were enjoying our drive more.
I checked on map to see that it was just about 56 km left for us to reach the countryside and I checked that we need to take a left turn from a few metres ahead, so I instructed my friend to do so.
This road leaded us to sector 66 and that connected it back to the main national Highway eight that connects Rajasthan with Delhi. We didn’t wanted to go to that direction, so we took a sharp left turn towards the Aravali Hills.
It was a two lane Road now instead of a 4 laned road previously. We could now feel that we were going somewhere countryside. They were very less cars going in this direction, and we could see a lot of things that we usually seen in the countryside like agricultural fields.
There was also a lake on the side of the road as you can see in the photograph above, although that lake was full of Alge and plants, but still, it was quite amazing to see a like just near to the city.
Now there were only a very few buildings present there, only a handful to be precise, and all we could see were huge fields and the foothills of Aravalli mountains. We were now really close to the Aravali Hills, and we could even see the starting of the Aravalli Range from the place we were right now.
As the road got narrow, now, there were many speed bumps on the road to break the speed of the vehicles passing on this narrow road. This road further leads to the arrival Hills and as that’s a hilly part, so there are many curves on that road so it’s natural that people shouldn’t drive very fast there. So there are many speed breakers present on this road. One of them, you can see in the photograph below.
After driving for another five minutes, here we were in the middle of the mustard fields, and we could see thousands of mustard plants right in front of our eyes. It was amazing just to consider that there is such a beautiful countryside very near to the main city of Gurugram and still people don’t know about it that much.
So, we got out of our car to enjoy the sunset in the mustard fields. I was thinking about my first day of office that I had tomorrow, and I was considering myself lucky to have found a friend here in the city to with whom I can roam around.
That’s all for today.
Thanks for passing by.
Peace ☮️
