Hello everyone,

Today I was exploring the fields of paddy near Baragarh region of the Himalayas. It was a really mesmerising experience that I am going to share with you here on HIVE.

Baragarh is a term that is not much used nowadays. The region from upper areas of Shangchar to lower Katrain was called Baragarh region about 100 years ago. I came to know about this fact from my grandma today.

These paddy plants are grown since ancient days for daity of the village by specific group of people in the village. This trend is still followed. The crop yielded from these fields are used in the village gatherings and various other purposes.

Here’s a picture of my dog Stoner having fun in the fields. I was successful in capturing him in action.

The vibe here was really great. If you look closely, you can see the perfect weather and even feel the chilly winds blowing here. I wish I could make you smell the freshness in the air too. 😅

The grass was vibrant green in colour as you can see. It’s still in growing phase and it will grow double the size.

The mountains in the background added to the vibe of this place. You can also see my village Baragran in the mountain behind.
