Namaste 🙏

Hope you all are doing great!!!

Soha, we were in the front of the famous Lodhi garden of Delhi after walking for about 15 minutes from the Jor Bagh Metro Station. I have written about that walk in my previous blog. I am posting the link to that block below so that you guys can check it out if you haven’t already.

This garden is dedicated to the Kings of Lodhi Dynasty, who ruled Northan India from about 1400 BC to 1500 BC. This is a huge garden which spread out across a huge area of 90 acres. This garden is so huge that you need a full day to explore this garden. There are many places inside of the garden where you can visit. There are tombs of various kings of Lodi dynasty, and each one of them is unique in its own way.

The Entry Gate

As soon as you enter this garden, you are greeted with greenery all around you. There are two main entrances of this garden. The first one that we just walked in is just kind of a reception entry. The main entry lies ahead of the complex which makes you go through a security check before entering inside of the garden

The photographs that you can see in this blog are mostly from the reception area or the area outside the reception area. It’s hilarious that this area is only bigger than some of the gardens that we usually see. Because of the huge area of this garden, this garden attracts a lot of fitness enthusiast and people who love to walk. This garden is not only intended for people who are into fitness, but it’s a great picnic spot to enjoy some time with your loved ones, or just to chill with yourself.

Leashed dogs are also allowed inside of the garden, and it’s quite sure that you will come across some cute dogs while you are visiting this garden too.

After walking for about 50 feet, you reach the main reception area and just outside that reception area. There is one heart shaped gate out of flowers that you can see in the photographs below.

Another great thing was that we were visiting this garden in the perfect time as its spring time, here in northern India, nowadays and flowers are blooming all around us. I was really curious to see how this garden looked from different aspects and how beautiful the flowers are blooming inside of the garden.

I recently posted a blog regarding the flowers only in photography lovers community. I’ll be posting link to that blog below so that you can check exclusively the photographs of flowers which I captured.

Now entering to the hardship gate, you reach the security check in area where you need to pass through a security check before entering into the garden. There is no entry fees to enter this garden and that’s a really great thing.

It was a perfect day that day and the sun was shining bright. The temperature was as perfect as it can be, and we were enjoying ourselves to the fullest. The vibes around us for magical as you can see in the photographs.

Now we were inside of the garden, and we didn’t had any idea where we should go. They were two parts and we chose the path towards the left. It was a huge area to walk, so we started walking slowly and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest.

I was really enjoying myself in the garden, and the sun was shining bright above us, but the sun rays were partially touching the surface because of the huge trees that were all around in the garden. So as we walked in the footpath, the sun were playing a game with us, and they were shining bright Other times, they were not shining at all.

IMG_8511.jpeg

We didn’t had any guidance or prior knowledge to where we should visit and what places are inside of the garden, so we kept on strolling inside of the garden.

IMG_8505.jpeg

We also came across some people who were in a picnic with their family, and we are having the time of their lives. We were really happy to see such happy faces chilling in the garden and this elevated the overall vibe of the garden as well.

IMG_8504.jpeg

My first impressions of the garden were that it was really really clean cleaner than I expected clear than I’ve seen most of the gardens around me. Another thing I noticed that people were walking around in a sensible way in this garden and were not at all littering. This blog is just an introduction to the coming posts in which I will be specifically exploring the parts of this garden so stay tuned for the next posts.

That’s all for today.

Thanks for passing by.

Peace ☮️
