Every weekend I set out on the road to make discoveries that I can't predict the end of the day. In most of the places I visit, I also enjoy the pleasure of combining the sea and nature. This week I went to explore the forests of Beldibi, one of the popular holiday resorts that most Antalians know the name of, but only visit the beach.

I live in the Meltem district, one of the well-known centers of Antalya. It takes me about twenty minutes to get from the center to the Beldibi forest. To get here, I use the Antalya Kemer road route. Beldibi is a small holiday town between Antalya and Kemer. Let me tell you about the forest where high pine trees dry up civilization and a long beach lined with large and small pebbles lying on the shore of the deep blue sea.
Ben Antalya'nın bilinen merkezlerden biri olan Meltem semtinde oturuyorum. Merkezden Beldibi ormanına gelmem yaklaşık yirmi dakika sürüyor. Buraya gelmek için, Antalya Kemer yol güzergahını kullanıyorum. Antalya ile Kemer arasında kalan Beldibi, küçük bir tatil kasabasıdır. Yüksek çam ağaçlarının medeniyet kuruduğu ormandan ve masmavi denizin kıyısında uzanan, irili ufaklı çakıl taşlarıyla kaplı uzun bir plajından sizlere bahsedeyim.

As usual, I'm a bit wary of the house, it looks abandoned and neglected. But the location is very well thought out in a very calm and quiet place.

The only evidence that the counter is the kitchen is the small white ceramic tiles in front of the walls.

The wooden cladding on the ceiling of the house has fallen into decay over time, crumbling and falling off in pieces. The only thing that makes the house beautiful is its location and the view from the window, which gives the feeling of living in nature.

Let's move away from the house and continue walking into the virgin forest. My route starts with a forest road and continues with high and low paths. Most of the time on the steep paths, I can say that I experienced the scenes of a bear walking by bending down. 🙃😃 As long as I can't leave the backpack I'm carrying, I won't be able to get out of the bear role.
Evden uzaklaşıp, balta girmemiş ormanın içine doğru yürümeye devam edelim. Orman yolu ile başlayan bu rotam, git gide yüksek ve alçak patikalarla devam ediyor. Çoğu zaman dik patikalarda, bir ayının eğilerek yürüdüğü sahneleri yaşadım diyebilirim. 🙃😃 Taşıdığım sırt çantamı bırakamadığım sürece ayı rolünden çıkamayacağım.
There have been times when I have come alone to such wooded areas. But on this expedition, I was accompanied by the woman I love. We make many of these expeditions together. For this challenging and laborious hike, we find a suitable area and take a short rest and snack break. I always take my small plastic table, chairs and finally my hammock with me wherever I go.

During our forest walk, after climbing a sloping path, we came across beehives, more than 50 in number. There were bees buzzing in front of and around the hives, which were spread out on a slightly sloping and wide terrain. This secluded beekeeper in the forest seems to be waiting, neatly stacking the parcel of bees in his colonies and storing them neatly for the strength of their bodies, perhaps because he will spend the coming winter season empty.

If only we could be like the hardworking bees, who never waste a second of their short lives. In most places where beekeeping is practiced, yellow bees are more common. In our family, I have an uncle who is a beekeeper in the village. He sells honey mostly in summer. The dry weather in summer causes the honeycombs to darken. Some beehives here have also started to darken. Most of the bees I saw around were yellow bees. My uncle in the village also had yellow bees. The abdomens of these yellow bees are round and long. They have a bright appearance.

We never expected to encounter bees and hives in such a desolate forest. We walked away without being attacked by bees. This forested area is actually close to the Göynük Canyon. It is very strange that we did not come across any water source during the hike. I used to see small puddles in the forests I usually walk in, especially in these areas. Now, we were passing through dirt paths surrounded by cedar and red pine trees.
Böyle ıssız bir ormanda arılar ve kovanlarla karşılaşacağımızı hiç beklemiyorduk. Arıların saldırısına uğramadan oradan uzaklaştık. Bu ormanlık alan aslında Göynük Kanyonuna da yakın bir bölgedir. Yürüyüş sırasında, hiç su kaynağına rastlamamış olmamız çok garip. Genelde yürüdüğüm ormanlarda özellikle bu bölgelerde küçük su birikintilerini çok görürdüm. Şimdi ise, sürekli sedir ve kızılçam ağaçlarıyla çevrelenmiş olan patika topraklı yollardan geçiyoruz.
The area I am walking in now is located at the foot of the Taurus Mountains in the Mediterranean. Beldibi forests, in terms of its geographical structure, is in a region intertwined with nature between the mountainous Lycian Region and the Pamphylian Plain. During the nature walks in this region, cave shelters and even some inscriptions in these shelters were found.
Şu an yürüdüğüm bölge, Akdeniz'in Toros Dağları'nın eteklerinde bulunuyor. Beldibi ormanları, coğrafi yapısı bakımından, dağlık Likya Bölgesi ile, Pamfilya Ovası arasında doğayla iç içe kalan bir bölgededir. Bu bölgede yapılan doğa yürüyüşlerin de, mağara sığınakları ve bu sığınaklarda yer alan bazı yazıtlara bile ulaşılmış.
In the pictures you see below, there are small carved earths and some old historical remains of ancient structures that have survived to the present day.
Aşağıda gördüğünüz resimlerde küçük oyma topraklar ve eski yapıları günümüze kadar taşıyan bazı eski tarihi kalıntılar var.
Finally, we slowly made our way out of the roadless jungle towards the exit point. As we got closer to sea level, we descended to dirt roads where we could walk comfortably. We were a little relieved to see the flat grassy roads.
Sonunda, yolu olmayan balta girmemiş ormandan yavaş yavaş çıkış noktasına doğru geldik. Deniz seviyesine yaklaştıkça, rahat rahat yürüyebileceğimiz toprak yollara kadar indik. Düz çimenlik yolları görünce biraz olsun rahatlamıştık.
