Our biggest religious festival Durga Puja is already over this year. During this puja, I visited various pandals in Kolkata and took many photographs. Among them, today I will share with you some photographs taken from a pandal.
Today's photographs were taken on the fifth day of Puja.
On Panchami day, I left home around 11 am with the intention of visiting Calcutta pujas. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Sealdah station from our nearest railway station.
After alighting at Sealdah station, all the major Durga Pujas of Kolkata can be seen all around. I had three other friends with me that day. We all boarded the train that day from our nearest railway station. Then we got down to Sealdah station and first we started to see the puja pandals of North Kolkata.
After visiting two small puja pandals, we reached the puja pandal at Santosh Mitra Square. I have shared some things about that below.
Santosh Mitra Square
On its 84th anniversary, Santosh Mitra Square Club themed their puja on Red Fort and India Gate. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India's independence, they created this theme on the model of Delhi's Red Fort and India Gate. Here, from evening onwards, the words and videos of various freedom fighters were shown by using 3D laser lights.
These aspects of this puja pandal in north Kolkata created a lot of interest among everyone. Two days before the puja, thousands of people gathered in this puja pandal in the evening.
Considering the extra crowd in the evening, I went here during the day. Because I had plans that day to visit many puja pandals. I took this decision so that if one pandal is blocked due to overcrowding, other pandals will not be seen. Anyway that's why I missed the laser light show from the evening. I came across Laser Light topics on various social media through their videography...
