Hope you all are well. I am also, Alhamdulillah. Today I will write about my travel to Kuakata Sea Beach. The Kukata Sea Beach is located in the Patuakhali District of Bangladesh. This will be written about the very famous beach known as Sagarkanya of Bangladesh and especially known for sunrise and sunset. Let's find out about my visit.
This Kuakata beach is a true paradise of natural beauty. This beach is located in the Latachapali Union of Kalapara Police Station, Patuakhali District, Barisal Division, Bangladesh. I visited this beach in the first week of February 2020. The day I went to see the beach, the sky was overcast, so the pictures of the sea did not turn out sunny. According to Wikipedia, this beach is about 18 km. At certain times of the year, this beach gets crowded with tourists. The combination of sky and sea creates a wonderful environment that cannot be believed without seeing with your own eyes.
Kuakata Beach has several attractions. I have outlined it below.
Lebur Chor
Lebur Chor is located east of Kuakata Beach and is about 5 km from the main beach. It is a mangrove forest that was formerly a part of the Sundarbans which later became separated from the Sundarbans. There are Golpata, Keora, Garan, and Sundari trees here. Lemon Char is called by different names by local people. They are called Lembu Char, and Nembu Char. From Kuakata beach you can reach this char by autorickshaw, van motorcycle. We came to Lemur Char by autorickshaw. Hearing the name of the place Lebi Char, I assumed it must be a lemon grove and after reaching there I looked for lemon groves all around but could not find them as the name did not match the trees there. I don't know the origin of this name but I read somewhere that it was named after a Rakhine girl named Nembu which later changed to Lemur Char. Happily, a part of the Sundarbans can be seen from here.
Lemongrass is the main attraction of Kuakata Beach. If you don't visit this place your trip will be incomplete. What I like most about this place is that the people here catch fresh fish and let you cook it by them and they cook it and serve it hot in front of you. The environment of cooking is also very nice, clean, and tidy. Various crab recipes are available here, but we ordered a seafood item, prawn fry, bamboo leaf fish bharta(Bengali food), rice, and dal. They tasted very delicious. You'd be remiss if you didn't visit Leburchlor and eat here.
Kuakata Buddhist Temple
This place is also quite beautiful. The house of the Buddhist temple is made uniquely. There is a huge Buddhist statue inside this house. And a few steps in front of this temple, there is freshwater well on the right side.
Jhaubon
A little far from Kuakata Beach there is a huge Jhauban. The white sand and Jaub trees looked very beautiful from a distance. We also got close and took some photos of Jaubon. Apart from these, there are many more tourist spots which I will share with you later.
