Hi Hivers!!! Today I would like you to know a little about my town and its history, because I think it is worth a visit, and I think there is not much information about it in social networks.
History
During the war for the independence of Cuba, the Spanish Army tried to take the town of San Juan y Martínez, but before this happened, the people of San Juan decided to set fire to their homes. It was more honorable to deliver ashes than to be subdued. This fact marks the history of my piece of land, and every year we celebrate the "Dignidad Sanjuanera" as a tribute to those who lost everything, but never their spirit of freedom. We have Mambí blood.
The tower of the Catholic church of San Juan y Martinez was the only thing that resisted the fire.
Tobacco
Our lands are the cradle where the best tobacco in the world is born, it surpasses in aroma, color, beauty, flavor, to any other. This is due to the quality of the land, which has all the nutrients necessary for the development of the plant, and to the experience and work methods used by San Juan farmers, yes! No one knows the secret formula better than my people.

My people
The people of San Juan y Martinez have an incredible human quality, humble, hardworking, honest, brave, talented and above all beautiful. I assure you that they will welcome you as if you were part of their family.

Durante la guerra por la independencia de Cuba, el ejército español intentó tomar el pueblo de San Juan y Martínez, pero antes de que esto ocurriera, los sanjuaneros decidieron prender fuego a sus casas. Era más honorable repartir cenizas que ser sometidos. Este hecho marca la historia de mi pedazo de tierra, y todos los años celebramos la "Dignidad Sanjuanera" como homenaje a quienes perdieron todo, pero nunca su espíritu de libertad. Tenemos sangre mambí.
Tabaco
Nuestras tierras son la cuna donde nace el mejor tabaco del mundo, supera en aroma, color, belleza, sabor, a cualquier otro. Esto se debe a la calidad de la tierra, que posee todos los nutrientes necesarios para el desarrollo de la planta, y a la experiencia y métodos de trabajo que utilizan los agricultores sanjuaneros, ¡sí! Nadie conoce la fórmula secreta mejor que mi gente.
Hace poco nos azotó un huracán, lo perdimos casi todo, pero la producción de tabaco continúa.
Mi gente
La gente de San Juan y Martínez tiene una calidad humana increíble, humilde, trabajadora, honesta, valiente, talentosa y sobre todo hermosa. Te aseguro que te recibirán como si fueras parte de su familia.
Los invito a conocer mi tierra. Espero hacer más publicaciones para mostrarles las bellezas que ofrece, estoy convencido que terminarán amándola.
@pedrito Tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Cuba, me pareció un país maravilloso, su gente luchadora y aguerrida. Me encanto la Isla.
