The Emus don´t look happy indeed, they need much bigger space and better care. What are the owners keeping them for? Tourist attraction? The hospitality of the poor locals who let you take their products for free, on the other hand, is really amazing and heart warming. Did you give them any money anyway? :)

I called them to come near me and they ran away :) They seems to be scared of outside people. However during our trip, another kid was asking for some help standing on the road and the kids gave him lot of snacks and he was so happy...
