I´m not a big fan of the UAE lavishness and gloss (you know, like building a ski resort in the middle of the desert etc.) but I must admit that Burj Khalifa is a beautiful iconic structure and the views from up there are truly impressive. Thanks for taking us there through your shots mate! :)

After a few days spent among the skyscrapers, I was not impressed by Dubai either but instead I was attracted by other neighborhoods, Deira, al Barsha or even Abu Dhabi, you know, I like to discover their history.
Believe me, we didn't even go for a swim in the sea, but we got in the water for a few photos, and the rest of the time we spent in those neighborhoods.
Good to see you here, mate.
Yeah, I know but I mean the whole region of the Persian Gulf. Most of those extremely rich countries got rich only because of the oil. No skills, no advanced civilizations, just lucky oil dollars and now they ostentatiously show their wealth . Some of the world´s most opulent structures, luxury ski resorts in the desert, gold decoration everywhere. Not my style. But I don´t judge anyone, I can imagine some people love these places :)
Have a nice weekend my friend!
Yes, we should not judge anyone, but the power of oil has split the world in two, at least that's what I saw on the spot.
There were a lot of rich people, but there was also that part of Dubai where every citizen works from morning till night to earn a living.
I was so financially so small compared to many other people around me that I was almost ashamed to say a word but in the end the experience in Dubai was amazing.
Have a wonderful weekend my friend!
