Hi, I wrote this post on English and Slovak language
On the last day of our trip around the town of Svidník, we decided to live a little unconventionally. We saw an old wooden church, or the landscape where the heaviest battles took place during the Second World War on the territory of Slovakia. We will enjoy today in nature and relax.
In the evening, we agreed where we wanted to go and mainly what time we would get up. In the morning we put on our tourist clothes, bought everything we needed in the store and set off to meet the local forest.
As soon as we parked the car and walked a few meters, the terrain started to rise sharply. No wonder, because our first stop is the observation tower, and it should be on the hill. It is true that we are a larger group and not all of us are equally well-versed in tourism, but today we are not in a hurry and are taking it one step at a time.
It was a big climb, but the lookout tower is located not far outside the town, and in a few minutes we can already enjoy the view of the town of Svidník. It's really beautiful here.
The view was definitely worth the effort, what do you say?
We took a breather, looked around. One more look at the lookout tower and we're on our way.
We enter a deciduous forest. We are walking along a beautiful forest road, which is also the Road of the Heroes of the Slovak National Uprising. You can go through the whole of Slovakia on this tourist route. Maybe someday I'll take on that challenge.
We walk comfortably and from time to time we pass by old, dry trees that have survived and still remember. I can't help myself, I have to take a picture of them.
Heavy fighting took place in these forests during the Second World War. I read that if we walked off the tourist trail, we would probably still find some rusted ammunition from the Second World War even today. However, we will not try.
We are enjoying a beautiful warm April day and we are not alone. This beautiful butterfly flew past me.
I immediately picked up my camera and went hunting. I'm happy that after a few minutes of chasing him, he sat down and posed nicely for me too.
It is a fennel forktail. It inhabits vast areas from England to Japan. However, we can also see it in North America or North Africa. He likes mixed forests and clearings. And this is where I took his picture.
And here we are! At the destination of our trip. I'm taking a picture of the lookout tower from afar, which I'll go look at, but later.
The hike is nice, but only now comes the reward I've been waiting for all this time. We put things together and divided the tasks. I ran into the forest. I'm going to look for dry wood. Yes, you guessed it. We're going to start a fire and roast.
Despite the fact that it is warm, the wood in the forest is still wet, so we must carefully choose the dryest possible to start a fire. Fortunately, we succeeded the first time and here you can see our lunch today.
I love eating outdoors. I don't know about you, but I like nature better.
It's time for me to look down on my surroundings. I went up the stairs to the lookout tower. The trees around it are already tall, so they block my view a bit.
I do not mind. I am taking pictures of the beautiful surrounding spring landscape.
We ate, looked from the observation deck, the fire went out and now we can safely go back to our cars.

Posledný deň nášho výletu okolo mesta Svidník sme sa rozhodli prežiť trocha netradične. Videli sme starý drevený kostolík, či krajinu, kde prebiehali najťažšie boje počas druhej svetovej vojny na území Slovenska. Dnešok si užijeme v prírode a zrelaxujeme.
Večer sme sa dohodli kam chceme ísť s hlavne to, o koľkej budeme vstávať. Ráno sme si na seba obliekli turistický odev, v obchode sme nakúpili všetko potrebné a vyrazili sme v ústrety tunajším lesom.
Len čo sme zaparkovali auto a prešli zopár metrov, terén začal prudko stúpať. Niet divu, veď naša prvá zastávka je rozhľadňa a tá by mala byť na kopci. Je pravda že sme väčšia skupina a nie všetci sme rovnako turistický zdatný, no dnes sa nikam neponáhľame a kráčame z kroka na krok.
Stúpanie to bolo veľké, no rozhľadňa sa nachádza neďaleko za mestom a o niekoľko minút si už užívame pohľad na mesto Svidník. Je tu naozaj krásne.
Ten výhľad jednoznačne stál za tú námahu, čo poviete?
Trochu sme sa vydýchali, porozhliadli sa po okolí. Ešte jeden pohľad na rozhľadňu a ideme ďalej.
Vstupujeme do listnatého lesa. Kráčame po peknej lesnej ceste, ktorá je zároveň Cestou hrdinkov Slovenského národného povstania. Tohto turistickou cestou môžete prejsť cez celé Slovensko. Možno sa niekedy na túto výzvu vydám.
Kráča sa nám príjemne a z času na čas prejdeme okolo starých vyschnutých stromov, ktoré si čo to prežili a čo to si aj pamätajú. Nemôžem si pomôcť, musím si ich odfotiť.
Aj v týchto lesoch prebiehali počas druhej svetovej vojny ťažké boje. Čítal som, že ak by sme sa prešli mimo turistického chodníka, zrejme by sme ešte aj dnes našli nejakú zhrdzavenú muníciu z druhej svetovej vojny. Skúšať to však nebudeme.
Užívame si krásny teplý aprílový deň a nie sme sami. Okolo mňa preletel tento krásny motýľ.
Hneď som si zobral do ruky fotoaparát a išiel som na lov. Som šťastný, že po niekoľkých minútach prenasledovania si sadol a aj mi pekne zapózoval.
Je to vidlochvost feniklový. Obýva rozsiahle pásma od Anglicka až po Japonsko. Vidieť ho však môžeme aj v severnej Amerike či v severnej Afrike. Má rád zmiešané lesy a rúbaniská. A práve tu som ho odfotil.
A sme tu! V cieli nášho výletu. Z diaľky si fotím rozhľadňu na ktorú sa pôjdem pozrieť, ale to až neskôr.
Túra je síce fajn, no až teraz prichádza odmena na ktorú som celý čas čakal. Skladáme si veci a rozdelili úlohy. Ja som sa rozbehol do lesa. Idem hľadať suché drevo. Áno, uhádli ste. Ideme si založiť oheň a opekať.
Napriek tomu, že je teplo, je drevo v lese ešte mokré a preto si musíme dôkladne vybrať čo najsuchšie, aby sa nám podarilo rozložiť oheň. Našťastie sa nám to na prvýkrát podarilo a tu už vidíte náš dnešný obed.
Zbožňujem jesť v prírode. Neviem ako vám, ale mne v prírode lepšie chutí.
Je čas, aby som sa pozrel z výšky na okolie. Po schodoch som vyšiel na rozhľadňu. Stromy okolo nej sú už vysoké a tak mi trochu bránia vo výhľade.
Nevadí mi to. Fotím si krásnu okolitú jarnú krajinu.
Najedli sme sa, pozreli z rozhľadne, oheň zahasil a teraz sa môžeme pokojne vrátiť späť k našim autám.
Chcem sa všetkým mojim kamarátom poďakovať za príjemne strávený čas a nezabudnuteľné zážitky.

ja som na nich proste magnet.. este sa zo mna aj zenska ujebava, bo vie ze ich neznasam a pritom som jediny co ich furt domov donesie..
povodom som Humencan, ale uz veeelmi dlhe roky zijem v Irsku..
Máš skrátka rád suveníry tak si ich z výletu vezmeš domov 🙂... Ja som so Spišskej... Slovákov tu nie je veľa tak je dobré prečítať si nejaký ten koment aj v slovenčine
