Wow I was just brought back to my childhood by this post! I grew up in Michigan and every year we as a family spent 2 to 3 weeks camping at Higgins Lake Sate Park, I don't know whether it was north or south I just remember it was my favorite time of year. The lake is probably one of the most beautiful lakes in Michigan, such fond memories of a time long ago.

That is awesome! It is a very beautiful lake. Several years ago we rented a lake house on the North side of the lake and we got to watch a meteor shower from the dock.
That would have been the coolest thing ever, Higgins Lake is a magical place.
