Introduction

Hi everyone it's @LivingUKTaiwan here with the weekend edition of the #TravelDigest. Today I have a double dose of India travel posts for you. The first is the author's experience flying from Germany to India and his first impression of the country. The second is from a local, and his hitch hiking experience in the Indian Himalayas. Our final Pinmapple Top 3 post will take you to visit a very important museum in Vietnam. Enjoy!!!!

All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by @pinmapple, @blocktrades, @theycallmedan and the curation trail. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.

🥇 Flying to Trivandrum in India / Flug nach Trivandrum in Indien by @bossel

" This was the first time for me flying with Air India, so I didn't know what to expect. It wasn't the cheapest flight, but the cheapest with a proper baggage allowance. The flight started in Frankfurt after 9 pm, so (having not eaten on that day) I was a bit afraid they would simply send the passengers to sleep without food. But luckily: They served supper at the beginning of the flight & breakfast in the morning."

🥈 In Search of Moon Lake In The Indian Himalayas by @himalayanwomb

" From Baralacha we start walking towards Keylong and after walking about 5-6 km we get a lift in a truck. The truck drops us at Keylong from where we get another truck from where we get off at Khokhsar. From here we get another truck which drops us at a place called Chhota Dada. The reason for getting off here is that the road ahead is bad and a truck broke down there. Our truck driver refuses to go ahead today due to long traffic jam."

🥉 Visiting Quang Trung Museum - A Place To Keep Important Artifacts In Vietnamese History by @lehanna

" Going inside, this is the main place to display the artifacts, from the outside, this place has an ancient feature with and wooden door and the ceiling covered by the tiled roof. Right in front is a large bronze statue of the famous hero of Vietnam, also the name of this museum, which is King Quang Trung (aka Nguyen Hue). If you are a citizen of Vietnam, surely everyone knows this talented king, he is a talented general who is not afraid to sacrifice himself to fight to protect the country."
