Hoy les voy relatar lo que fue un hermoso recorrido con un grupo de buenos amigos por el Municipio Caripe, estado Monagas, Venezuela, un lugar que sin duda es un paraíso natural, con un clima frío y lugares maravillosos como la famosa: Cueva del guacharo.

Today I'm going to tell you about a wonderful trip with a group of good friends through the Caripe Municipality, Monagas State, Venezuela, a place that is undoubtedly a natural paradise, with a cold climate and wonderful sites like the famous Guacharo cave.
Nuestro recorrido inicio desde Cumanacoa, municipio Montes del estado Sucre, hasta llegar a la población de caripe y continuar el recorrido al lugar donde íbamos a pernoctar, un mágico pueblo llamado: San Agustín, lugar de gente muy amable, ambiente frío, mucha producción de frutas y flores, entre otras maravillas que luego vamos a explorar.
Our tour began in Cumanacoa, Montes municipality of Sucre state, until we reached the town of Caripe and continued the tour to the place where we were going to spend the night, a magical town called San Agustín, a place of very friendly people, a cold atmosphere, abundant fruit and flower production, among other wonders that we will later explore.
Tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar la cueva del guacharo, mejor conocido como parque nacional "El guacharo", tomando un poco de historia, es un parque nacional de Venezuela ubicado en el tramo oriental de la Serranía del Interior del Sistema Montañoso Caripe, en las serranías Cerro Negro, Cerro Papelón y Cerro El Periquito del Macizo de Caripe, entre el estado Monagas y el estado Sucre. Ocupa parte de los municipios Caripe, Acosta, Piar y Bolívar (Monagas) y Ribero (Sucre). Está conformado por dos unidades o bloques separados: el de Cerro Negro, donde se ubica la Cueva del Guácharo, y el de la Cuenca Media del río Caripe. El Parque abarca 62.700 ha; las cuales se distribuyen de la siguiente forma, al sector Cerro Negro le corresponden 15.500 ha. y al de la Cuenca Media del río Caripe 47.200 ha. Fue declarado parque nacional El Guácharo el 27 de mayo de 1975 para garantizar la continuidad de los procesos geológicos y biológicos que se cumplen en la Cueva del Guácharo. Por su parte, el Cerro Negro, donde se localiza la Cueva del Guácharo fue el primer Monumento Natural en Venezuela el 15 de julio de 1949, con el nombre de Alejandro de Humboldt.
We had the opportunity to visit the Guacharo Cave, better known as "El Guacharo" National Park, taking a little history, it is a national park in Venezuela located in the eastern section of the Serranía del Interior of the Caripe Mountain System, in the Cerro Negro, Cerro Papelón and Cerro El Periquito mountain ranges of the Caripe Massif, between the Monagas state and the Sucre state. It occupies part of the municipalities of Caripe, Acosta, Piar and Bolívar (Monagas) and Ribero (Sucre). It is made up of two separate units or blocks: Cerro Negro, where the Guácharo Cave is located, and the Middle Basin of the Caripe River. The Park covers 62,700 ha; which are distributed as follows, the Cerro Negro sector corresponds to 15,500 ha. and the Middle Basin of the Caripe River 47,200 hectares. El Guácharo National Park was declared on May 27, 1975 to ensure the continuity of the geological and biological processes that take place in the Guácharo Cave. For its part, Cerro Negro, where the Guácharo Cave is located, was the first Natural Monument in Venezuela on July 15, 1949, named after Alexander von Humboldt.
En nuestra visita tuvimos la grata oportunidad de poder compartir con los buenos amigos de la zona, realizar la comida típica de cada recorrido, nuestra parrilla, así como también pudimos escuchar buena música a cargo de nuestros amigos y compañeros de viajes.
During our visit, we had the pleasant opportunity to spend time with good friends in the area, enjoy the typical food from each tour, our grill, and listen to great music played by our friends and fellow travelers.
El recorrido fue maravilloso pero algo corto de tiempo, por lo que volveremos por más experiencia y para conocer lugares más hermosos que guarda está hermosa población del oriente Venezolano.
The tour was wonderful but somewhat short on time, so we'll be back for more experience and to see more beautiful places in this beautiful town in eastern Venezuela.
