Hello friends and welcome back to my page, in today's post I want to tell you about my experience kayaking through the gorges of the Novella torrent, I had already done other kayaking experiences but in quieter places, in this lake you have the opportunity to explore these small canyons that have formed between the rocks, due to the erosion of this torrent.
Let me explain first, where exactly the Santa Giustina lake is located. It is one of the largest reservoirs in Trentino Alto Adige and is practically in the Val di Non, a valley famous for the production of apples that are exported all over the world.
From my point of view it is a beautiful lake even though it is artificial because it was formed by the construction of the dam in 1951, you can do a lot of trekking or mountain biking because there are so many routes of varying difficulty, but what I tried that day was the kayaking experience, which I can tell you right now cost 50 €, but below I will put the site from where I made the reservation is to do this kayak tour.

To do this experience, you have to be 5 years old and up, in fact my sister brought her son who is 7 years old, to do the whole kayak tour of the gorges, it took us about three hours but we went very slowly.
The equipment is provided by whoever rents you the kayak, and it is compulsory to wear a helmet as well as a life jacket. As you can see from the photo, we travelled with three people, because more than one person can travel, and I must say that my nephew had a great time, so it is an experience that I highly recommend for families.
If you do this experience in summer, I recommend that you put on a swimming costume because there is always the possibility of getting wet. In winter, on the other hand, a windbreaker with perhaps a jumper underneath is recommended, although I have been told that in winter they don't organise so many excursions.
From my point of view, even though the expense for this experience may seem excessive, it was a wonderful experience, which I definitely plan to do again as soon as I can, what I enjoyed most was just entering the bowels of this canyon, calmly observing nature, and we were surrounded by thousands of fish swimming around us.
It is impressive to think comma that it took millions of years for this stream to carve these rocks and create this beautiful path, which in my opinion should be preserved for future generations, when I finished my experience, I learned that if you added 10 € to the ticket price you could also have breakfast with local products, I am so sorry I missed this opportunity.
