I went to see the she-wolf Vaia, a sculpture !!a magnificent work📷

in Worldmappin2 years ago (edited)

I hope all is well, a few weeks ago I went to see a work of art that was inaugurated about a month ago but now I realized that I have forgotten that I have created a post about my excursion.
I have a lot of respect for this artist, who creates these works of art with wood scraps and if you have been following me for some time I had already talked about him.

In the photos you see Marco martalar that his stage name made this she-wolf, I took the picture together and as you can see it is impressive as a structure.
before going to see this work of art I had seen some photos and it seemed small to me in reality it is huge live.

This work of art is located in Vetriolo, a fraction of the municipality of Levico Terme in the province of Trento, and since it was inaugurated, that is, in mid-September, it has made a boom in attendance and many people have rushed to visit it.
And I can assure you that it is worth it, to make this work the artist took about 2 months of work and it is said that 2000 wood scraps were collected in fact the she-wolf is 6 meters high.

Since I arrived in the late afternoon, I stayed there until the evening to take some sunset photos of this work of art.
The works of this artist are made as I told you with wood scraps, actually all this started in 2018 because there was a bad storm in these parts, which practically beat a lot of trees in the woods that were nearby, therefore Martalar wanted to recover part of the wood to create this natural work depicting the animals that live in these parts.

)

But why did you want to make these works with wood?
there is no risk that all this will be destroyed over time?

It is precisely the meaning of these works of art that will eventually return to nature thanks to the fact that weather erosion will consume them over time.

I hope you enjoyed this story and I hope I made you discover a place you did not know,I just have to give you an appointment at the next post, and thank you for reading it.

Wow! Such a great artwork. The story behind is somewhat like sad but the artist really made a creative work. Superb!

That is an incredible work of art! I like how you stood beside it to show us how big it really is. It looks smaller by itself in the picture where it’s alone.

I am wondering one thing though? How did he get it to stay fixed in the ground? I imagine he had to dig deep into the ground to kind of bury the claws inside?

OMG this is probably the best scenario that I’ve seen in months! I had no idea about that wolf!! I guess I’ll have to visit it as well! Amazing! Congratulations!

That’s cool!
