With the winter sun shining brightly, the fresh air and the peaceful sounds of nature accompanying me, this walk became more than just a simple hike, it was an experience of tranquility, discovery and appreciation for the simple things in life.
This morning, I decided to go for a long walk to the village of Couce. It was a beautiful winter day, but the sun was shining brightly, making it perfect for an outdoor adventure. The crisp morning air filled my lungs as I set off on my journey, feeling the excitement of exploring nature once again.

Esta manhã, decidi fazer uma longa caminhada até à aldeia de Couce. Estava um belo dia de inverno, mas o sol brilhava intensamente, tornando-o perfeito para uma aventura ao ar livre. O ar fresco da manhã encheu-me os pulmões enquanto iniciava a minha viagem, sentindo a emoção de explorar a natureza mais uma vez.
As I started my walk, I could see the mountains in the distance, standing tall and majestic. Their green slopes, covered in a mix of evergreen and bare deciduous trees, looked breathtaking under the golden sunlight. The rugged peaks added a sense of mystery, as if they held secrets from centuries past. The trail ahead of me was peaceful. The silence of nature was soothing.

Quando iniciei a minha caminhada, pude ver as montanhas ao longe, altas e majestosas. As suas encostas verdes, cobertas por uma mistura de árvores perenes e de folha caduca, pareciam de cortar a respiração sob a luz dourada do sol. Os picos escarpados acrescentavam uma sensação de mistério, como se guardassem segredos de séculos passados. O trilho à minha frente era tranquilo. O silêncio da natureza era reconfortante.
The first part of my journey took me through rolling hills and gentle slopes. The ground was slightly damp from the recent rains, and I could see tiny drops of water on the blades of grass, shimmering like little diamonds in the sunlight. I walked along a narrow dirt path, occasionally stepping over small puddles formed by the melting frost. The air smelled fresh, with hints of pine and damp earth.

A primeira parte da minha viagem levou-me por colinas e encostas suaves. O chão estava um pouco húmido por causa das chuvas recentes, e eu podia ver pequenas gotas de água nas folhas da relva, a brilhar como pequenos diamantes à luz do sol. Percorri um estreito trilho de terra batida, ocasionalmente pisando pequenas poças formadas pelo derretimento do gelo. O ar tinha um cheiro fresco, com notas de pinheiro e terra húmida.
As I continued my walk, the landscape changed, and I found myself surrounded by a dense forest. The trees were tall and imposing, their branches reaching toward the sky like skeletal fingers.

In the distance, I could see the village of Couce nestled in the valley, its rooftops peeking through the trees. The sight was picturesque, like something out of a storybook.

As I approached the village, I noticed the charm of the old houses. These buildings, made of stone and wood, told stories of the past. Some had weathered wooden shutters, while others featured intricate ironwork on their balconies. The narrow streets, paved with uneven cobblestones, added to the village authenticity. It was easy to imagine life here centuries ago, with villagers going about their daily routines in harmony with nature.

Ao aproximar-me da aldeia, reparei no encanto das casas antigas. Estas construções, feitas de pedra e madeira, contavam histórias do passado. Algumas tinham persianas de madeira desgastadas, enquanto outras apresentavam intrincados trabalhos em ferro nas varandas. As ruas estreitas, pavimentadas com paralelepípedos irregulares, acrescentavam autenticidade à aldeia. Era fácil imaginar a vida aqui há séculos, com os habitantes locais a viverem as suas rotinas diárias em harmonia com a natureza.
I passed by a small fountain where clear water flowed continuously. The sound of trickling water was calming, and I took a moment to drink some of the fresh, cold water. It was refreshing and pure, a reminder of the simple pleasures that nature provides.

Passei por uma pequena fonte onde corria continuamente água limpa. O som da água a correr era calmante, e aproveitei um momento para beber um pouco da água fresca e fria. Era refrescante e puro, um lembrete dos prazeres simples que a natureza proporciona.
After spending a considerable amount of time exploring, I decided to take a break near a small coffe that had a rustic appeal. I ordered a hot cup of tea and sat outside, watching as the sun cast golden hues over the village. Life in Couce seemed to move at a different pace slow, unhurried, and in tune with nature.

Depois de passar um tempo considerável a explorar, decidi fazer uma pausa perto de um pequeno café com um toque rústico. Pedi uma chávena de chá quente e sentei-me no exterior, observando o sol a lançar tons dourados sobre a aldeia. A vida em Couce parecia seguir um ritmo diferente: lento, sem pressas e em sintonia com a natureza.
Today’s walk had been refreshing and peaceful, a perfect way to spend a winter day. Whether alone or with friends, walking to this beautiful village is an experience worth.
