Julley Everyone,

A beautiful day out here in Baragran village of Manali, Himachal Pradesh. It was a wonderful morning and I tried to explore and wake up early and visit the nearby village called Baragran Village.

IMG_5056.jpeg
The journey became something like this as I saw that this village was quite unique as there were many houses that had the old Kath Kuni architecture still in use and most of them they have preserved it as heritage. It made me wonder it made me not stop even for a while to explore this place rather early morning. I decided to wake up early and go to the village nearby. Explore its beauty.

IMG_5057.jpeg
So here we were, this place was quite cold and the morning felt quite cold too, and there was no right in front of us. The mountain was filled with snow at the top of the mountain and usually during the upcoming few days. Even this whole place will get covered and a thick blanket of snow, and the whole place will look like a white Paradise.

It was around 5:30 AM in the morning when I woke up early and woke up to dream! A dreamy picture right in front of me as I could see and I try to capture it in my phone. The morning felt quite quite dreamy and quite astonishing which made me wonder and explore this beautiful village of paragraph of Manali, Himachal Pradesh.

IMG_5060.jpeg
Around 7 AM and explore this house as you guys can see. It was really a wonderful moment guys. There were these houses newly constructed along with them. There were these Kattukuni architect houses which were constructed up of wood and rock and just the soil of the mud, so which made the house even be strong and even be earthquake proof the house is being so and so strong that it can even with stand earthquake and that up to the magnitude of 6 to 7

IMG_5062.jpeg
The architecture of the house was quite different as the construction of the house only required, and it was constructed by local artist called Taui is used to construct these houses and all of the people in the houses participated evenly and participated together in the construction of their house. It’s not like that that today’s era construction is done just by the construction workers, but it was at that earlier time and each and every single family member has to do something something to make their dream house.

IMG_5063.jpeg

The house, which last These houses in baragran village, they were the houses which were older than 300 years to as when I ask my grandfather that how about these houses and how about How about this grey house which I’ll be sharing in the next pictures, so what is the construction of this this place so they told that it is a temple of the dirty local God and this temple has been here for more than 500 years and my grandfather said that since his child has seen it as it is right now, so it is still being maintained. It is still been that Asian and that pure as it seems like it was really a wonderful and blissful moment guys, that you guys can see Right in front of us.

IMG_5064.jpeg
Though there has been several constructions made up in the upcoming few years, but few of them lasted and don’t know about the reason, but they considered it to be heritage properties, so there was something which they called it heritage, and that was something which they preserved till date until date. They have constructed new house at the same place, but suddenly they even have maintained the houses along with their houses which the newly constructed.

IMG_5066.jpeg
As I was wondering the village nearby, I saw that all of these houses had different designs. Every single design was unique in itself and it has had some uniqueness and some different charm itself. So it was really a magical thing guys I saw a different houses not as of today we see in nowadays that all of the buildings they have similar structure.

They have similar form of construction and similar form of patterns by which they are constructed, but in those ancient terra and each and every single person was artists by themselves, they artist on their own. So there was something which made it unique thing and each and every single person contributed towards their house, which is still there in use in today’s era and few of them, even being more than 500 years old.

IMG_5067.jpeg
This kath Kuni himalayan architecture is slowly vanishing guys in the upcoming years and due to the modernisation of facilities and modernisation of construction and that off with the bricks. This Asian wooden architecture is just a past dream which is left as a dream,

So I tried capturing as many photographs as I could, and even share the whole experience and whole journey with you guys, so that even you guys could get to see this Asian Himalayas architecture, which is endangered now a days And it is really hard to preserve and how to maintain this type of architecture as even just the construction of these architects is required and artists are required and the number of Tau nowadays, it has been decreased by the number of people as it seems like.

IMG_5069.jpeg
The construction of this type of architecture, as of now is just a word that words to say it is really very difficult for such constructions which is to be made nowadays in today’s era as it is really very difficult to search the wood which usually was in abundance at that time and a single tree usually requires more than 300 to 400 years to grow it as fuller as it could, and which would just even form few of the slippers around 40 to 50 slippers and just the construction of a house would require more than 100 to 200 slippers.

IMG_5070.jpeg
Another thing that I noticed is that the ancient Katni architecture was something like that that in the ground floor of the house, it was the cow shit and at the upper story, it was the walls and beyond the walls just right after the walls there was a portion to collect and keep the grass.

The dry grass and inside that usually was the room where which was meant to be Considered as the house as the cow is just underneath the room it would make the house bit warmer and the grass which covers the whole portion.

IMG_5071.jpeg
As I told that each and every single house was unique in itself, so maybe it was the idea of the ancient people that we wanted to construct the house which is totally different by itself or there would be some other reasons to it, but as I saw that there was no such construction, which was totally aligned with each other, except the way that they construct their houses by their own, which was totally made up of by the wood,

Which they shop nearby Timber and the rest of the rocks which they hosted from the river river nearby, or from the mountains, nearby and rest, it’s all their artistic work, which they craft on their houses to make it unique and make it different.

IMG_5072.jpeg

It generally isolate the whole house and it would make the house warmer which was put into the harsh climatic conditions as display pink covered with a thick blanket of snow and the snow and the temperature being as low as -10 to 15°C.

IMG_5073.jpeg

So just you guys can see that how difficult it is nowadays that in order to just construct a old Katni house and that too a bigger one And just which is made up of the wood. Even the walls of the house are made of wood rather than the rock, which is there nowadays, it is really very difficult.

IMG_5074.jpeg
I was wondering the whole place for awhile, and it was really a peaceful moment guys that I captured and the whole journey looked something like this. So I was here at this place for more than two hours in my morning, felt really very special as I could see that the weather today, it was kind of cloudy and which bring, which would bring us a lot of hope about the snowfall nearby, which would be coming in the upcoming few days, and if the whole Place snow, I would love to share the first experience of experience the snowfall in this village.

IMG_5079.jpeg

IMG_5076.jpeg

We could see that the weather over here it was getting darker and darker as there was no such sunlight which would consider this day to be a sunny day, so I think in the upcoming few hours of the single day, the whole place will snow, maybe I was not even sure about that as the weather nowadays is totally unpredictable at the place.

IMG_5078.jpeg
So that’s all for today guys, I hope you like it.
Thanks for precious time. 🙏
