A new day a new story and a new adventure it’s it that much nah! A new day a new adventure but in a diffrent world.
Julley Everyone!
Travelling to a diffrent city might be a travelling kinda thing but what will, we call an adventure to the Moon, Yes! The moon. In this post I will be sharing my story about travelling to the Moon Land of The Earth.
The Spiti Valley
The Spiti Valley A Cold Himalayan Desert at an altitude of 14000 ft from the sea level. The Spiti Valley is referred to the Moon land because of its climate features and the cold desert having the huge sand dunes covered with the snow. With very little or low vegetation in the whole valley.
This area is still under process as per as the natural climate of this place because the whole Valley keeps on changing its rivers and even the huge mountains. Thus this makes this place prone to landslides and other natural disasters.
So I along with my friend who was from lahul planned to go and explore this magical Spiti valley and share the whole experience and its beauty with you guys. I was staying at Lahul from two days for covering this expedition and making it a successful one!
Meet Kaspar! A three years old Siberian Husky. Really very anxious and is a great enthusiast of travelling.
A photograph Kaspar analysing GoPro that I everthing alright. To be honest Kaspar was juts licking the lens which made me replace the filer in the end. But at that moment he knew that he was doing something wrong but he was enjoying it!.
Kaspar can never stay at a place like laying and relaxing, In these two day whenever I have seen him, he was running from one place to another. Hope he sleeps during the night or maybe he would be hunting the wild animals. By the way kaspar was very obedient pet. Whenever he was ordered to do a task he without thinking even at once completes it in a quick haste.
Our Stay At Jispa
This was the camp in which we were staying last night. Last night I reached this place in the evening and this place was named as Himalayan campsite at Jispa Village of Lahul and Spit district of Himachal pradesh.
These camps were so well placed that even in the coldest nights during the coldest time off the day inside these it downs feel that the wind blows at this place as it feels where we get outsinde out camp doing night.
So here we started our drive. And the view was something like this. the peaks were still covered up with the snow and the evaporation in extreme of the peak was causing the heavenly clouds to form up in the sky tus making it a picturesque view.
So it was around 7'o clock in the morning and we were getting ready for our adventure today. Our destination for today was getting to the extreme tributary of the well known Deepak Tal. A lake of Spiti valley which stays frozen almost throughout the whole year except these two month of May and June.
Yesterday the weather was kinda cloudy and after a while it started snowing. Even in the hottest month of the year this place was facing the winter condition.. Just imagine how would this paradise be during the winter season. That’s the reason why no one the the whole area visit this Valley during winters.
Kaspar enjoying the drive at its fullest. He was too happy that he was not even listing to us as we were calling his name to look at the camera.
The look that he gave us after calling his name from about 10 minutes was this. The angry look but the cute one.
So we let him enjoy the journey. And we were enjoying it too. If Kaspar was not with us throughout the whole journey we would have not have enjoyed that much because during our whole journey our main topic of discussion was Kaspar.
As we were covering up the distance the view was getting more mesmerising and heavenly. The vegetation at this place was very little as seen in the picture.
Isn’t it so lonely here. Let’s be a tree and live here where there’s no one to call us not even the river not even the mountains.
This was the view that could be seen form 10 km form Jispa.
The curves. As seen in the picture. This road had almost a decent amount of deep curves through which we had to drive our vehicles very carefully.
A feeling like we were just in a different world was coming in my mind. The whole views and the experience which I have felt at this place was all true for this which makes this paradise The moon land because this place didn’t have features of earth like the deserts have like the mountains have. This land was just a heaven but of different world.
We left kaspar on the road running and chasing us. He was really very active that he chased us for more than 5 km at the same speed in which the car was moving.
A thought came into my mind that we should take kaspar with us in the car rather than letting him chase, now he might me tired but at a certain time we was ahead of us.
He was running with all his heat was trying all his best for keeping his loved ones happy. A dog always Dreams about getting all the love form his master. He likes spending as mush time as he would with them and that’s everything that he wants.
Seeing kaspar like this I missed my Stoner the dog of mine who always use to chase us, whenever we use to go out from house he too used to take the different path and comes ahead of us.
I think their freedom lies in all these thing what they love. A great sort of attachment was only the thing I had with kaspar in there few day... I loved him as my Stoner and I gave all the love to what I use to give to my dog Stoner and Kasper did the same.
As we were covering up the distance the temperature was getting cooler and cooler. A child wind was blowing off the mountain ranges. It was like that we were really close to the peak of few of the mountain ranges.
So around 3 PM we finally reached our destination. And this was the place form which the mighty Deepak tal was forme. Deepak Tal a mighty Lake in the Spiti Valley
It was really scary to look at the deep river form this place. It was really steep and deep guys and to be honest I was really scared to look into this heavenly river.
Just look at the beauty of this wonderful heavenly land guys.. It looks like that there might be a story of this place related to something that how there canals like river was formes in this Dry Cold Desert.
Just look at the huge rocks under which the water was flowing. Only these two months this wonder can new seen as because rest of the whole year this magical wonder it is covered up under the thick blanket of snow.
The pressure of the water was really great as this water was coming form the glacier which was really too close to this place.
The huge steep rocks were about 70 feet in height and were really too steep. I guess if someone would fell into this natural cannel of cold frozen water it will be really a good lock of him to be alive.
Ours shadows could be seen in the front rock of the cannel. The water was just really too cold and frozen. As the breeze coming form the flowing water was also really very cold and freezing.
We decided to go a bit below the rocks to capture the true beauty of this place as you can see this photograph this was the max we could go down so close to the water.
On the other side of the bridge under which the water was flowing there was a Buddhist Monastery built so close to the river and has a lot of Buddhist Tibetan Flags attached form the bridge by which they use to flow with the wind and the holy chants which were written over them use to provide peace to the whole area according to the monks.
The view that could be seen form the bridge was Something just like this...
So it was the time to say bye bye to the place we visited today and we successfully reached our destination at around 5 PM when we headed back toward out camp and prepared ourselves form the next advent form tomorrow which was explore the Mighty Deepak Tal lake of Spit valley. I was really a great achievement and a blessing for us to visit and explore these heavenly place. To be very honest guys this place is really chilly during the moon guys. Without the proper facilities one can get ill and suffer from cold and harshness of the climate of this area.
Stay tuned for next part of this Spiti series guys. A new day a new adventure. Part 2 Coming Soon
All these photographs were captured using my GoPro Hero 6 camera and were edited in Adobe Lightroom.
So thats all for today guys. I hope you liked my post.
