Namaste Everyone,
A busy day again in a busy city of Delhi!
Here we are! Searching for the places where we could go and explore as Delhi being the most busiest city of India has a lot to explore and see...
We finally decided to visit the famous Jama Masjid Mosque an ancient monument built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in around 1644. I along with my brother to a Tuk Tuk from Delhi’s famous Chandni Chowk towards Jama Masjid and were were really excited to visit the place as It was my first time visiting this monument, I just had read about it in the books of history and today was a time to actually visit and explore it.
The Tuk-Tuk guy dropped us just in front of Jama Masjid Building and we could easily see the monument behind the busy crowd of Delhi.
After passing through the commotion and the crowd we finally made it towards the main entrance of Jama Masjid and the main entrance of the ancient mosque looked something like this..
Heres a glipms of the busy crowd through which we made of way towards our destination.
That was the wall which was covering the Jama Masjid form outside.. The was quite thick and sturdy and was just beautifully constructed.
The material of the constitution of the famous Jama Masjid was also brought form a different place.. Just Imagine guys that how monuments like these would have been constructed in the ancient time where there were no machines and was of Transportation.
That was the main entrance to the Jama Masjid guys.. and standing right here we were just really excited to see and visit the place form inside... I tried to click many photographs guys so that I can share the true picture of what I experienced visiting this ancient historical and holy monument and many people used to visit this place and worship.
Though a bit of construction was still going on as this historical place was now under the government and for its protection and maintenance the government usually keeps a check on the preservation of this ancient monument.
When I looked back form the main Entrance gate that was I view guys... The long busy crowded street form which we just came right now and now we were just right ahead of it.
This main Mosque seen visible form the main entrance gate just right in the front.. Guys usually many of the Saha Jahn’s monuments were something like these only guys as one among the seven wonders of the world famous Taj Mahal is also seen something like this form the main entrance and even more guys..
Maybe it was his unique way of welcoming the ones visiting his beautifully constructed monuments like Taj Mahal which to be very honest guys is totally a master piece guys...Though I haven’t yet got a chance to visit Taj Mahal but I really want to guys... and share the astonishing stories and experiences with you guys.
Here was the place guys... The famous Jama Masjid right in front of us.. lot of people coming back and going towards the Mosque as you can see in the picture guys...
A photographs of the main entrance gate form inside the gate backwards... I was just amazed to see the size of the main entrance gate just see guys how huge is it near about taller that three storey building.
The thing that amazed and made me wonder was jut construction part guys... Just for a second thick about constructing a huge monument without the use of machines just the physical labour it not it a mystery in itself!!!
After getting a bit closer to the Mosque this place comes... to be honest guys I didn’t had any idea and knowledge about it guys... Do let me know if you guys known about it in the comments section.
This little monument was constructed right in front of the mosques gate maybe it had some important significance of which I was not aware of..
Just right in front of the Mosque was this part of water and I even noticed that many people washed their face with the water inside maybe they considered it to be holy.
Walking every step over this place bought an new excitement as there were a lot of different things guys.. thing of which I literally had no idea about... It was kinda experience which was totally a different and a new one for me!
I tried capturing the similar looking photographs form the same angles guys so that you guys can actually figure the things out by actually imagining about the same.
After walking few steps further I came across the beautifully built walls of Jama Masjid... I was just amazed to see the craving done on the thick stone walls and all done by the physical labour and all their skills..
It was finally the point guys beyond which we were not allowed.. Maybe because of the religious practices which used to happen at mosque and tourists were not allowed to visit.
After reaching at this point I kind of felt that was it Just till here because It was just few minutes for me exploring this place and to be honest I actually want to see and know about history and made myself wonder by seeing different things and I got an idea when I looked up at the sky!
And that Idea was when I looked up at the sky and I saw these tall Minars the pillars of the mosque and I saw few people at the top and in no few time even I thought that definitely there would be a way towards there.
After finding a lot on the whole area of Jama Masjid I finally found the place form where I could get the ticket to the Minar and see the view of the whole Jama Masjid and even Whole city of Delhi.
Then I bought a ticket to the Minar and I was just so and so excited to be at the top as I always had some sort of love with heights as few of the people has fear of height but it was a whole lot of totally opposite case with me.
Even it was a difficult task guys to reach at the top by actually walking till the tight path and even many people would be coming back and few were be coming down and there would be difficulty in passing.
The starting stairway looked something like this guys just imagine in the ancient time walking through this dark path without lights!!!
The steps were also so uneven few of them were so long and few were so small which made it a bit difficult task but It was fun and a new experience guys and I enjoyed it and almost all the people did so who were walking towards the top of the Minar.
From this place I could easily see the top of the Minar to which I was about to go!
The Jama Masjid was also seen so beautifully between the blue sky and clouds.
I tried to capture few of the photographs of the little journey to the Minar of Jama Masjid guys...
The top of the Minars of Jama Masjid were also seen so pretty form this place and the moment like this didn’t stopped me clicking a lot of photographs..
There were a lot of steps guys and were we just walking through the narrow Minar and were going up and up and up...
At certain parts it was also complete darkness as seen in the picture.. just the light of the sky in front of us...
At this part were were at the top part of the Jama Masjid and the huge minars were seen just in front of us guys as seen in the picture...
The birds were also seen flying and chirping in the sky closer to the Minars.
There were the final stair guys near around hundred steep and narrow steps it was a bit dangerous moment guys as there were also people coming from the top and were were just clashing and the space was just so narrow which made it difficult for us to acend and decend.
Just see the thickness of the wall guys it was near around four feet thick, all stone and there were also tiny holes for the light to enter and the thing I noticed was also that these holes were also at certain points from light just entered and lighted up the whole pathway around.
We were finally at the top guys and there were also many people at the top clicking pictures and enjoying after walking all steep for quite a long time!
There were several instructions written on the boards that writing on the walls is strictly not allowed.
Many people were taking their selfies even I thought of taking one xD.
The view of Delhi form the top of Jama Masjid Minar
I tried to capture the picture about by actually keeping my phone out through the holes.. kinda risky right but the photo was just amazing. 😅
POV at the top
Top View
View form the top.
Just see guys how all the people were so happy over here...
There was not even a place to stand 😅
The view form the Minar was just a worthy one guys...
In ancient times Minars were usually built to keep an eye on the whole area so that the king would actually know about his surroundings.
There were many Minars but this was one among the tallest ones and we would easily see the whole Jama Masjid form here.
See how tiny are the peoples looking form this place guys and it was the place where I was right back before some minutes.
It was now finally time to get down form the Minar guys and I would say this moment was just a memorable one... Here are few of the POV photos of me coming down form the Minar:
The Place where we were just right back before.
So thats all for today guys. I hope you liked it.
All the photographs were captured by me using my iPhone 12.
