Another day in another wonderland. What should I call... A pathway to the sky or to the winters wonderland that had turned to grey!

Julley Everyone!

Somewhere North towards the Zanskar Himalayan Range. Exploring the unseen and un named land. Making our way to the way unknown. Through the mountains, not of soil or tree but of the harsh pieces of rocks. Making it nearly impossible for a climber to climb the never climbed peaks of the Passes between the Pir Panjal and Zanskar Himalayan Ranges.

IMG_5576 Large.jpeg
It was the certain point where the road just ended and we took a turn towards the right. Towards the sky! Where the pathway took us. There was no network of any source of connectivity. Even the GPS was kinda struggling as it was just showing us our location between this cold desert.

IMG_5578 Large.jpeg
The climatic condintions as harsh and dry as a sand and literally we could even feel the breeze flowing as a kmph. People say that the road led to the Leh Ladakh Region of Himalayas. The cold desert and these are the peaks that welcomed us.

IMG_5580 Large.jpeg
At ceratin point the roads which we were passing by just vanished like it was a desert land. and at certain places everything just felt so calm and quite. even the rocks and the dry dusty soil was not even blowing with the wind.

IMG_5582 Large.jpeg
The Ladakhi Peak was seen right in front of us and we got to know that were were just quite few hours away from Sarchu TangLang La which was more than 17500feet above the sea level. We were at quite a high altitude and staying at such high altitude and after the evening time was nearly impossible as the wind that used to blow is quite challenging.

IMG_5583 Large.jpeg
The insane and astonishing views kept us going and exploring the uncaptured land of the Himalayas.

IMG_5584 Large.jpeg
It was the driest time of the season that this place was as this condition. Usually the whole region is covered under a thick blanked of Snow and that too nearly through out the year.

Getting here was on my list. I saw some vloggers needing to breathe from oxygen cans while they were here. Did you have to do that too?

Hey @krios003 go glad to know that you too want to visit this place 😊 Yes it is true that people do require oxygen at such places especially the cold Himalayan Desert region. But we were totally unprepared so we took few local herbs that helped us to keep our breath okay! The local herbs were Camphor. That truly helps.

What a trick! I also bring a camphor inhaler when going to high-altitude mountains. Helps me relieve my headaches due to pressure.

Wow that’s good to hear about the trick that even you use 😅😊
