Julley Everyone,

A day to remember! I would call the day second of my past Hampta Pass Expedition.

There has been a lot of post from my expedition! As to be true the Himalayas has a lot to say and as a guy like me who once explores a place goes to the depth of it. Capturing each and every moment of the same as these trails once the ancent passage to the Lahul and Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh from Kullu region. It is a long passage and a lot of place to cover up so this one was the story beyond the second base camp.

Guys making the things clear about the expedition this particular patch was about hiking till the Dry Glacier Spot that came along the way of our expedition and this experience was something that I wanted to share It with you.

GPS Mapping.

We used Google Earth and took these screenshorts so that we could explore the place more properly and reduce the chances of trapping between the valleys of Kullu Manali.

The Trail Could be seen on the GPS Image.
That I captured using Google Earth.

The Mountain Peaks Above the Chikka Waterfall.

Which could be seen something like this, and we were somewhere between the mountain range. This whole mountain range was Pir Panjal Mountain Range which had almost endless mountain peaks to climb and summit and most of the places still being unexplored.

The Dry Glacier River which could be seen in the pictures that I would attach to the post looked something like this in the GPS Map and in real life during the pre-fall season looked something like this.

Shuruat. Beginning.

IMG_1760.jpeg
The begining of the Story beyond this particular point. Around 11AM when it had been more than five hours us being wondering this wonderland from out base camp that we considerd to the Chikka Campsite. The previous stories that I have shared in my previous posts related to it. Making the expedition in tiny bits so that I could share wach and every single patch with you guys.

IMG_1748.jpeg
The whole journey in this post is about reaching the Dry Glacier river and making our way through the Rocky Pathways.

The Endless Mountain Chains.

IMG_1747.jpeg
Right in front of us were the endless mountain chains the summits that were a challange to summit and the techincal approach would say! A single strep takier wrong to a different direction would led us to another corner and though the passage seemed quite simple but the confusing trail would.

IMG_1745.jpeg
The top of the mountain looking like that it is quite closer to us but guys!! Believe me it was really a tiring expedition when at certain points we decided to give up.

We had been wondering and making our way through the trail that was once the ancient pathway between the two regions of the Himalayan mountain belts. Thw two different regions of the Himalayas one being lush green and the other being the cold Dry Himalayan Desert.

This place lying somewhere between the two regions. At this particular point we were at an altitude of more than 4,200m Above the sea level and after taking few steps through the trail we were gaining the altitude at every point.

IMG_1742.jpeg
The Trail was somewhere through the rock and at certain points we even had to cover and make our journey beyond the rocks too...!

IMG_1739.jpeg
It was quite an adventure in itself guys.. As there even was water flowing under the rocks maybe some spring water of just from the freezing of snow which has taken place in the summers now flowing the water from the mountain and now seeping by the side of the trail. But it was a good sign guys as we could drink the purest from of water which was flowing by thw side of the trail and at certain points under the rocks.

IMG_1750.jpeg

Right in front of of what so ever we could see for miles and miles away were these endless mountains.

IMG_1749.jpeg

And us Making our way through it!

It took us nearly more than 45 Minutes from the starting point of the post in order to reach closer to the Glacier Point. Though at this time of the year when I visited this place the whole region was dry before the first fall as usually the whole region is covered with snow and the snow stays almost for more than 8 Months straight throught the year.

The trail through the rocks.

The Wishing Stones.

Guys this was another spot that we came across during our expedition. A particular place were there were these wishing stones, I ever have discovred such pile of stones in my previous expeditions of Himalayas and I even had posted about them too. But this was a particular spot for the wishing stones here at around 1.5 Hours away from mid way of Jorbi Campsite Hamta Valley of Manali Himachal Pradesh.

IMG_1744.jpeg
As per the local culture of this place most of the hikers or even the locals usually visit such high altitude places, isolated place they believe that angles too live in this heavenly land where thwy could make a whish for forming a pile of rocks called Oddis.

IMG_1743.jpeg
The Oddies which the people who used to keep a wish usually it at such places where they feel that this would be a place where their pile of rocks can be maintained for a while even with standing thick blanked of snow. The thing that made me wonder for a while was that during the peak winter season when this whole place gets covered under a thick blanket of snow how would these Oddis could be still as they are now. Maybe the snow falls slowly for a longer duration of time and forms a icicle over it by which the Oddis could stand sill.

To the Glacier River.

IMG_1753.jpeg
After wonder this place for about half and hour more we finally reached at this spot where se could easily spot the Glacier River originating from the Chikka Waterfall.

IMG_1751.jpeg
The water was flowing at a great speed and we could even feel the freshness from this spot even though the river was a quite depth. The flow and the vapors which the current of the river formed and that too the water being so and so cold was someting that excited us..!

IMG_1755.jpeg
I decided to sit at this place for a moment and feel the energy that I could ommit being so and so closer to the nature.

It was really a wonderful moment guys a moment that I would remember throughout my life that I wanted to share it with you guys through this post so that's all for today guys I hope you liked it I will be sharing my journey beyond this point in my upcoming post otherwise it would be too much for a single post.
