The charm of the river and temples, touching nature on both sides of the canal

Hello everyone

In this post, I will take you all on a boat trip to see the temples. This is my first time in Bangkok and I have the opportunity to travel in this kind of atmosphere.

Buy a boat ticket Saturday market, near Wat Taling Chan or Wat Khlong Song Nam.
I contacted to ask about the boat price. The boat leaves at 1:00 PM.
At that time, I arrived almost an hour early.
So I asked about the boat rental price. The price was 1,600 baht because I went with 8 relatives. The boat I rented can accommodate up to 22 people.
But if I wait to get on the boat with other tourists, it would be 90 baht per person. But everyone agreed that the price for the Mor Lam concert was as I said, 1,600 baht. So I scanned and paid the ticket, the price for the boat. Finished. The guide led all the tourists to follow the guide to the pier to board the boat. And the boat will leave immediately. That's what the guide said.

Foreign tourists

It was just the right time. There were foreign tourists who came to ask about going on a boat to see the temples like me.
But they didn't ask the ticket seller. They asked me instead. Because I was standing at that spot, I took the opportunity to invite the two tourists, a woman and a man, to get on the boat with me. I told them that I would sell them tickets for 100 baht. The two foreign tourists immediately agreed and I brought them on the boat with me.

The charm of the river and temples, touching nature on both sides of the canal.
It's time to get on the boat. When everyone gets on the boat, put on life jackets. There are many tourists waiting at this point.
I consider this activity to be a popular activity that attracts both Thai and foreign tourists with the beautiful scenery on both sides of the river, full of old temples, beautiful architecture, and interesting historical stories. Therefore, taking a boat to see the temples is an experience that combines happiness, fun, and beauty. Everyone on the boat is very excited.
Including foreign tourists, I consider this time to be a guide for both foreigners and relatives on the boat. Everyone has a lot of fun.

There are many types of temple cruises to choose from, such as a large boat with food and drinks or a small boat that provides more privacy. There are many temples in the Chao Phraya Canal, so you can clearly see the beauty of the temples and monasteries. As for the boat cruise, I think that this kind of romantic and beautiful atmosphere can be experienced here.

On both sides of the canal are communities of local people. Each house is next to the canal. The atmosphere is beautiful. I like it here. In the canal, there are always tourists who rent boats and drive past each other. In addition, in this canal, there are fish and other animals living in abundance.

I really like this picture. I sat and enjoyed the view on both sides. Looking up, I saw children waving their hands in joy and happiness. I, the tourists, and everyone on the boat raised their hands to greet them as well.

This is the first point that the boat stops for you to go sightseeing at the temple.
This temple is called Wat Ko Kaew. When you arrive at the temple, you are lucky because there is a real guide waiting for you. He will explain about this day to the tourists who go to listen to the history of this temple.
History of Wat Ko Kaew: It was built by Mon people who adapted to settle in this area. Originally, today it was called Wat Ko and today it is located on a small island in the middle of the Chao Phraya River. Later, it was renovated and the name was changed to Wat Ko Kaew.

Are there many fish living in the temple area? You can feed the fish. For me, overall, Wat Ko Kaew is an interesting place for those who want to experience nature and the peaceful and beautiful Chao Phraya River air and learn about history and culture. You must come here.

Wat Ko Kaew is the center of the villagers in this community. Next to Wat Ko Kaew, there is also a school. It is an important place for organizing various local traditions. In addition, Wat Ko Kaew also has beautiful sculptures, such as the old chapel with beautiful murals from the distinctive Mon-style pagoda, which is unique.

Wat Ko Kaew has many important Buddha statues, such as the Buddha statue in the Mara-Vijaya posture, which has beautiful features. These Buddha statues are highly respected and worshipped by the locals.

I think boat trips are suitable for all ages, whether it's a family, a couple, or a group of friends. Boat trips to see temples allow you to fully experience the charm of the river and temples, learn about history and culture, and most importantly, relax in a beautiful atmosphere.
Today, I have to say goodbye.

Thank you 😊 🙏 Brother for your Comment

Nice trip along the river. It’s a good idea to have a boat taking all the relatives to sightseeing temples by the river

This is my first time visiting this place. Everything looks neat and natural.
