🛕Wat Khuan Thani, Trang Provinc📷

in Worldmappin2 days ago

Hello everyone.

Today, I would like to volunteer to take you to experience the peace and beauty of an old temple in Trang Province. I just had the chance to visit this afternoon. This temple is Wat Khuan Thani. When I was still working as a hired hand, I had to drive past this route regularly. I never knew there was a temple in this area. Until today, when I was at home, my wife suddenly invited me to go to a temple. She found information for me about which temples we hadn't been to yet. I set off, so I wanted to share the beauty of Wat Khuan Thani with my friends.

But this trip was exciting from the beginning.
After not having been here for a long time, when I arrived at the temple, I was shocked.
Because there was a new road construction, I got lost.
I wasted quite a while looking for the entrance to the temple.
Finally, I found the entrance to the temple. I was sweating a little.

The first feeling that comes to mind when entering the temple area is the strangeness. The surrounding atmosphere looks like it used to be a school. This may be because in the past the school was located next to the temple. Later, the school was probably closed down. The temple therefore renovated the old school buildings, whether it was the classroom or the cafeteria, to become part of the temple. This makes the temple quite spacious.

And the excitement is not over yet. Because I got lost, I accidentally drove into the back of the temple. The first thing that came to my eyes was a large pagoda and a crematorium for cremation ceremonies. In that area, there are also pagodas containing the remains lined up in an orderly row. The pagodas here are both large and very beautiful. The atmosphere here looks very peaceful and respectful.

After that, I drove to the front of the temple and got out of the car. What I felt immediately was the surprisingly quiet. There were no people in Wat Thep. I only saw Buddha statues in various postures.
A beautiful group and other buildings in the temple, all of which seemed to be closed.
Even though the weather was quite hot because there were not many trees in the temple, I walked around taking pictures and admiring the beauty of the various places in the temple, especially the church, which had beautiful and distinctive architecture. The pagoda in the back also looked strangely beautiful with its unique shape and impressively large size. It was very different from other temples, especially the pagoda and the coffin here.

I walked to the front of the temple, which is the temple gate. At the temple gate, there are vendors selling snacks and drinks for students in this area. In addition to the temple, there is a kindergarten near the temple gate. So I asked some basic information from the villagers, which made me know that Wat Khuan Thani is an old temple with a very long history. The references from the villagers are not certain. It is assumed that it was built in which there is no evidence and it is not certain. But from the characteristics of the antiques and the situation inside the temple, it should have been renovated in many eras.

Another interesting thing is the large pagoda that I saw at the back of the temple. It has a different appearance from other pagodas.

Even though today I did not have the opportunity to visit the church or other buildings of this temple because they were closed, it was okay. Just being able to experience the peaceful atmosphere and learn about the temple, the beautiful architecture and the initial history of Wat Khuan Thani made me feel very good.
I saw a boat parked in the building, so I walked closer to it to take a picture of its beauty. It was a boat that had been specially taken care of and had a beautiful shape like a typical boat. But what was more special was that I learned that this boat was not just a decorative boat, but a boat used in the boat pulling ceremony. I walked around the temple. When it was time to go back, my friend went to pick up her daughter from school. She was studying at Saraphat Chang School at the moment. School ended at 3:30 PM. I drove to pick up my daughter from school.
I have to say goodbye for now. See you again.
