Hello everyone, today after picking up my daughter from school, I decided to take my daughter to experience a temple not far from my village, which is Wat Ton Pik. It is an old temple. Wat Ton Pik is located in Village No. 6, Nong Krut Subdistrict, Mueang District, Trang Province, under the Mahanikaya Sect, Region 17.
When we arrived at Wat Ton Pi, the first thing that caught my eye was the shady atmosphere of the large trees. At the entrance to the temple, there were large trees providing shade throughout the area.
My daughter, wife, and I walked around the temple. In front, there was a beautiful gate made of large wooden pillars and a multi-tiered roof, which was very striking. Next was an old pavilion with many Buddha images inside.
The highlight and interesting thing at the moment is the construction of the new church, which is a very beautiful architecture.
I took this picture to try to capture the whole church, but there is a tree in front of the church, which is a large tree and on top of the tree there are many orchids.
My daughter and I walked to see the progress of the church construction. When we walked closer and climbed the stairs, we walked to see inside the church. There is a Buddha statue inside, but because the church is still under construction, the Buddha statue is covered with cloth. The intricate stucco patterns and carvings are very beautiful.
In addition, while I was walking around the church, I saw painters painting the church walls.
After walking around the temple and the new church, I walked to the back of the church. There, I found another interesting thing. Starting with the boundary stones, there were many boundary stones arranged on a wooden platform. Our boundary stones are round stones used in the ordination ceremony, which is a ritual to elevate the temple to a temple that complies with the Buddhist precepts. I began to explain this story to my daughter. These boundary stones were waiting for the Kathin ceremony, which is a big merit-making event where villagers come together to offer Kathin robes and other necessities to the temple to be used for renovation, restoration, and maintenance of the temple. Near the boundary stones, there was an old wooden boat. This boat was old. This ancient boat might have been a boat used for religious ceremonies. In addition to the boundary stones, there were also carved stone sema stones arranged in rows. Each sema stone has a very beautiful carved pattern.
Then I walked to a large forest park not far from the village. There were many big trees in this area, making the atmosphere cool and comfortable. When I looked up at the sky, I could barely see the sky because the trees covered the area with their branches, providing shade. I walked back to the area next to the church. There was a walking Buddha statue not far from the church, so I took a picture of this area.
Wat Ton Pik has a beautiful wall and along the wall there are ashes of the deceased all along the wall. It is a large standard wall.
Today is a temple that is historically and culturally significant to the local area. This temple is outstanding with its exquisite stucco patterns and reflects the peacefulness and shady atmosphere. Wat Ton Pi is located in a convenient location. If you have the opportunity, you can travel by private car or public bus. Friends, if you have the opportunity to visit Trang Province, don't forget to stop by and see the beauty of Wat Ton Pi. Today, I have to say goodbye for now. See you again.
