Hello namaste Satsriakal
Your friend Pulkit is back with a new experience of my one-day trip to the nearby Hill station.
I live in one of the busiest cities in India, which is also called Millenial city Gurgaon. Like most people when I get frustrated with the hassle of the city I also wanna spend some quality time with mother nature.
So every 3 or 4 months me my brother and some of my friends plan to visit some mountains. because Mountains are love
Pure love.
Snow-clad peaks, forests, National parks, and trekking in mountains are like ecstasy.
Spending some days in the mountains, having local food, and sitting next to the river with your feet dipped in the blood-freezing water coming from glaciers rejuvenate not only the mind and body but also the soul.
In India, The famous mountains are not only adventurous but they have spiritual backgrounds also. Many important worship places belonging to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism are present there.
This weekend I got a chance to visit A Sikh worship place called Gurudwara and A Hindu temple in the Himachal Pradesh state of India.
Gurudwara Paonta sahib
This is a very important place for Sikhs as This is the place where their 10th and the last Guru( Teacher) Shri Guru Govind Singh Ji wrote the Holy book Shri Guru Granth Sahab Ji.
This place is present next to the River Yamuna which is a very sacred river for Hindus.
This shows the Harmony that the Indian subcontinent has.
Two sacred places of two different religions at a place and both Hindus and Sikhs went there and pray.
This Gurudwara has the weapons of Shri Guru Govind Singh Ji. His swords, Bows, arrows, and also some rifles because he was also a warrior.
source
His teaching for the community was Never exploit anyone and to stand against those who exploit others
He trained his community to be warriors because the knows that only with nonviolence you can't defend yourself from others then how can you protect the whole of humanity.
This place is present in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. This is situated at the border of Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand, and only a bridge over the Yamuna river connects both states.
I stayed there for about an hour and then left for my next destination.
RENUKA JI
Around 50 km from Paonta sahib lies a beautiful lake called Renuka Lake.
It's 3km in circumference surrounded by green mountains and Renuka wildlife sanctuary.
There are 2 lakes on the same campus. Another one is called Parshuram tal, which is much smaller in size but has a very beautiful view.
Parshuram lake is filled with fish that are more than 2 feet in length.
There are Forest rest houses, a Public wealth department's rest house, and a Himachal tourism hotel to stay there.
The place is so peaceful, beautiful, and also offbeat that few people come to this place and one can stay here for a couple of days and enjoy the weather and scenic beauty.
Renuka lake's shape is like a sleeping lady. You can walk on the pathway built around the lake and can click some mesmerizing pics.
The beauty of Renuka lake is enhanced by the lotus flowers floating on the surface and the sun coming from behind the mountains.
I have seen lotus flowers before but only in flower shops and never in their habitat. Seeing lotus in the lake is a very beautiful moment.
Renuka wildlife sanctuary is also a very good place to spend some time.
There are 3-4 temples present here and also a small water well which is just 4 feet deep and half-filled with water and the water level never changes. Just two steps adjacent to the well there is a drainage system that is 8 feet deep but has no water in it.
If the water comes out of the ground at 4 feet then why is drainage at 8 feet empty.? Strange or not.
There are also some places near Renuka Ji. But I only had a day to me so didn't go anywhere else.
I'll visit the other places very soon and will let you know.
