- The first destination that for a long time I have been longing to visit, I present the palace of the king of rubbish, translated into Spanish, I know the name is very strange and 0 attractions, but when you see the palace from afar the architecture draws too much attention wondering how something so beautiful ended up in this condition? Well today we are going to answer that question, we are going to learn about this place. The story begins with the Portuguese Manuel Martins Gomes Júnior who was from a very very poor class at that time, but with a strong dream that he wanted to be someone in life and not only at a high economic level, but also to be remembered for something unique and in a good way, he wanted to be rich enough to help many people, to be remembered as a good boss and he was in memory of some workers who were by his side, also a critic for the country, as he did not stop criticizing and fighting against the corruption of the country. This gentleman, with the luck of life and a great intelligence, transformed himself from a very, very poor man to a man of great wealth. He began by dedicating himself to agriculture, investing intelligently in business, then he grew until one moment one of his businesses suffered a fire for which the insurance caused him a legal problem, as he was accused that he was the one who caused it in order to collect the money, then with that money he bought more land and started a business of collecting rubbish from the capital that he reused to feed his cattle in the agricultural business. Thus he was growing buying and expanding his capital becoming the man who owned almost all of Barreiro and built this famous palace and another farm called Quinta de São Joaquim, but the name he assigned to this palace was Quinta de Manique, but today we remember him as the king of the lixo, in 1943 dies this person who will be remembered in Barreiro forever, since that structure is still standing we will all be curious to investigate it.

- El primer destino que desde hace tiempo me comía las ansias de visitar, les presento el palacio del rey de la basura, traducido al español, lo sé el nombre es muy extraño y 0 atractivos, pero cuando ves a lo lejos el palacio la arquitectura llama demasiado la atención preguntándote ¿cómo algo tan hermoso termino en estas condiciones? Pues hoy responderemos esa respuesta, vamos a aprender de este lugar. La historia comienza con el portugués Manuel Martins Gomes Júnior que era de una clase muy muy pobre en aquella altura, pero con un sueno fuerte de que quería ser alguien en la vida y no solo a nivel económico alto, sino también ser recordado por algo único y de una buena manera, quería ser rico lo suficiente para ayudar a muchas personas, ser recordado como un buen jefe y lo fue en memoria de algunos trabajadores que estuvieron a su lado, también critico por el país, ya que no paraba de criticar y luchar contra la corrupción del país. Este señor, con suerte de la vida y una gran inteligencia, se transformó de muy pero muy pobre a hombre con mucha riqueza. Comenzó dedicándose a la agricultura, invirtiendo de forma inteligente en negocios, después fue creciendo hasta que un momento uno de sus negocios sufrió incendio por lo cual el seguro le causo un problema legal, ya que fue acusado de que fue el quién lo provoco para cobrar el dinero, luego con ese dinero compro más tierras y emprendió un negocio de recoger la basura de la capital que la reutilizaba para alimentar sus ganados en los negocios de agricultura. Así fue creciendo comprando y ampliando su capital volviéndose el hombre dueño de casi todo Barreiro y construyo este famoso palacio y otra quinta llamada Quinta de São Joaquim, pero OJO el nombre que él le asignó a este palacio fue Quinta de Manique, pero al día de hoy lo recordamos como el rey del lixo, en el año 1943 fallece esta persona que será recordada en Barreiro por siempre, ya que desde que esa estructura siga en pie a todos nos dará curiosidad de investigarla.

- This day I went to the famous white sands of Quinta do Conde, they caught my attention in the photos, but when I went to the place everything changed completely, without a doubt it was an excellent lesson to decide to go to this place because in person it is much better, I don't know why it even reminded me a little bit of the great canon of the United States, white version. This place not only gives you some amazing pictures, you can also do like us in jumping on the small cliffs. It is also a very popular area for cyclists who love to do acrobatics in this area; however, you have to be very careful, as it is sand, some of the cliffs, the edges can fall off under the weight and you can fall off.

- Este día me dirigí a las famosas arenas blancas de quinta do conde, me llamaron mucho la atención en las fotos, pero cuando fui al lugar todo cambio por completo, sin duda fue una excelente lección decidir ir para este lugar porque en persona es mucho mejor, no sé por qué incluso me recordó un poco al gran de canon de estados unidos, versión blanca. Este lugar no solo te regala unas fotos increíbles, también puedes hacer como nosotros en saltar en los pequeños acantilados. También es una zona muy recorrida por ciclistas que adoran hacer acrobacias en esta zona; sin embargo, hay que tener mucho cuidado, ya que al tratarse de arena, algunos acantilados, las orillas pueden desacerarse por el peso y puedes caerte

Un paseo interesante para comenzar con el nombre asociado a la basura, quizá no de la forma que él hubiese querido, pero terminó siendo recordado por todos. Me sorprende que sea una historia relativamente reciente, no fue hace tanto que falleciera. Sería interesante que el lugar pudiera recuperarse y destinarse a algo más interesante si es una zona de paseos.
El segundo paseo parece estar ubicado en un entorno totalmente diferente, la vegetación es tan diferente que sorprende que las dos sean puntos de interés de Quinta do Conde*. Creo que es un fin de semana bien aprovechado. La foto del pequeño arbusto sobre la piedra tan blanca es súper llamativa!
