Hello everyone!
Historical monuments are the buildings loved by everyone. These things attracts every person attention towards them. I'm one of that person. Since, I was a child such things caught my sight always and I wasn't able ( financially and due to age gap) to go to such places. But now I'm able to go to my favourite places. Today, I'm discussing about that place i wanted to go there deadly. First that was the nearest and historical place around me. So, I asked my friends to go to the city rich with punjabi culture, famous for furniture, it's historical monuments, and the River Jehlum called ' Chinniot '.
With the group of seven to eight friends we stepped out of our hostels and went out early in the morning. We did our breakfast at the main city ' Chinniot '.
First, we headed towards the bank of River Jehlum famous for the one of the most visited spiritual places in Chiniot city is the shrine of the famous Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Burhan-u-Din. The shrine is built in a style called "vernacular" that is similar to Mogul architecture. It is a simple building, but it is very impressive. Shah Burhan's vault was built between 1061 Hijri and 1064 Hijri. Here, the place for prayer attracts me a lot and i captured it. That was like a place where Sufis pray alienated.
It took almost three years to finish. The building is about 62 feet tall, and its walls are skillfully designed and painted. The door to the vault is made of wood and iron, but the door inside is only made of wood. The building's windows are constructed of stone and bricks and are artistically fashioned. Here, we found duck many in numbers, we feed them, and that was the most beautiful view.
Shahi Masjid is another attraction in Chiniot.
It was constructed by Nawab Saad Ullah Khan during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan (1628–58). It is stated that due to its wooden interior and artwork, it is a duplicate of Mughal monuments in the region such as Jamia Masjid Delhi, Delhi Fort, and Lal Qila Fort in India.
These are all located in India. It is a really attractive structure that was hewn out of stone that was acquired from the hills in the vicinity of Chiniot. It is a magnificent structure made of hewn stone from the hills surrounding Chiniot. On a single-story podium, the mosque is situated. The outside facades are noted by their elaborate embellishment and four corner towers.
After that we went to the most beautiful place of Chinniot, a palace. Full of history and unique story that make me weep. As the son of owner of palace died on the day of his marriage. And that mehal was made on the remembrance of his son.
In front of the Omar Hayat Palace, there are still parts of this fort. It was built in 1326, when Ghiyas Ud-Din Tughluq's oldest son, Sultan Muhammad Tughlaq (1325–1351), was in power. It is stated that the ancient city of Chiniot was located on the left bank of the river while the fort was located on the right bank of the river. In 1391, Chinni, the sister of Macchi Khan and the king of Bhera, ravaged the city.
Unfortunately that was closed due some renovations at the inside part of the mehal. That was a tragedy. We sadly came back to have some meal as we have been in a lot of places. We ended on eating biryani.
That was my tour, a one day tour. Hope you guys like it and I'll come with another tour story ☺️.
See you next 😌.
