Gin Ganga isn't something new to me. I grew up with her touch and care. River Gin starts from Gongala mountain and joins the ocean from Ginthota. My village, Baddegama is just one destination of her journey. I have never seen her with clear water in my entire life.
She is muddy looking and deeper when coming to my area. A few months ago, I visited Lankagama, where you can enter to Sinahraja rainforest. During my stay, finally, I was able to find the younger version of River Gin! Even though I have seen Gin River thousands of times, I couldn't put my eyes away from the beauty of younger Gin.
Clean water that flows through rounded rocks made a pleasant impression on me. For a moment, I didn't believe this was river Gin.
The whole night I heard the non-stopping sound of the young Gin, which never make a single sound when flowing through my village. This reminds me of the difference between immaturity and maturity. Immatured young playful river Gin flows freely while making tangles. She is a virgin who hasn't been filthed by humans.
We had an excellent morning view at the camp. In the morning I went to the riverbank to see the beauty of the rising sun. The combination of different levels of treetops made stunning color while mixing with golden sun rays. I could see a long way along.
Wet rocks were extremely slippery. I sat on a dry rock and put my legs into the bubbling water. The water was very clean and cold. Even though it was sunny, it made me so comfy.

Riverbanks were filled with a wide variety of flora. Unfortunately, I couldn't take any assistance to identify them by name. Altogether young Gin took me to a different world for a while.
Long-term water flow had made rocks oval-shaped. The rock surface wasn't too rough. I used some rocks and balanced them on top of one another to make a nice stack. And took two small rocks home as a souvenir. Ha haa..
Again and again, I love this younger version of Gin than the matured, silent, and abused version of River Gin. Every drop of water I touched yesterday must have passed through my village today!
a beautiful walk to here definitely! 😃 quite curious as to what the mature side of River Gin looks like cause your trip here showed all the beautiful parts to be seen 😄 thank you for sharing your wonderful trip here!

Thank you for the Lovely Comment. The mature side of river Gin looks like as in the second picture. Not much beautiful and just flowing the water.
