Hello everyone and welcome to today's blog. I'll be sharing my experiences from a recent visit to my aunt's home in a rural section of Tamil Nadu, India's southern state. In this article, I'll talk about the beautiful landscape of the nearby area.
The primary employment of the inhabitants in this region is agriculture. During my visit, I saw my aunt had planted a papaya tree at the beginning of the year. The surrounds were primarily covered in banana trees, with just a few spots exhibiting papaya plants in the spaces between the trees. Let me begin by providing an overview of the area's water amenities. A canal from the Bhavani Sagar dam, which is 100 kilometers away from the farm, plays an important role. This canal promotes the movement of irrigation water from various sections of the region, eventually reaching Kanchi Kovil.
The image above shows an ugly face that represents residents' trust in their company success, which can be influenced by negative motivation from others. This picture may discourage people from looking in such a way.
My aunt and uncle own a varied farm that includes a dairy, a chicken enclosure, and a goat fence. They have painstakingly built separate divisions for cows and cattle, goats, and hens, preferably country chickens rather than broiler chickens. Country chickens are valued more highly in this society and are thought to provide superior flavor and health advantages than broiler chickens. Unlike broilers, country chickens develop organically over the course of a year, producing less meat but believed to be healthier. Recognizing the local attitude, my aunt has knowingly concentrated on producing country chickens on her farm, increasing its total worth.
The waste from cows, goats, and hens serves as a natural fertilizer for the cultivation fields where my aunt has planted banana trees. Additionally, along the borders, she has strategically planted more fruit-bearing trees such as mangoes and papayas, creating a sustainable and organic approach to enhance the fertility of the soil. This integrated farming method not only minimizes waste but also promotes a healthy ecosystem within the farm.
This location has a particular place in my heart because it served as my home and study environment for about 12 years. It observed my whole education and college experience till my recent migration to Tirupur, which is almost 70 kilometers distant. Despite the employment change, I find myself missing the comfort and peace of this place. The photographs perfectly capture the sense of the nice and nostalgic environment.
People's interest in agriculture is currently falling, owing mostly to a number of unfavorable circumstances. One major worry is the revenue earned by agriculture, which frequently falls short of incomes from other occupations. Furthermore, the inherent hazards of agriculture, such as the possibility of sudden destruction due to natural disasters, add to the reticence to pursue this profession. In comparison, employment in the private sector provides a more steady and constant income, without the volatility associated with agricultural activity. This element, together with the perceived importance of a consistent income from daily employment, has led to a trend away from agriculture in favor of more secure career opportunities.
Regardless of the challenges, I feel that engaged in agriculture is a healthy activity. Working on agricultural fields not only helps to assure a successful crop, but it also allows our bodies to get some natural exercise. Unlike private-sector professions that may not need as much physical effort, agriculture allows people to keep physically active while also reaping the health benefits of manual labor. It's crucial to highlight that this viewpoint is my own opinion rather than a consensus of public opinion.
We got the opportunity to tour her farm, which spanned around five acres, and it was very magnificent.
