Adventure at Burgbach Falls - A Fantastic Weekend in the Black Forest 🌲

Hey everyone! The weekend is finally here and we’ve arrived at this incredible place called Burgbach. There's a stunning waterfall here. It's such a beautiful spot with lots of things to explore. We spent the day wandering around a bit. The parking area is almost right next to the waterfall. There's a river flowing down below and that's where we began our adventure.

There are some beautiful houses and interesting sculptures here. There's a private house, so we couldn't enter, but it's quite well-built. We were in summer outfits and t-shirts because the weather was super hot, over 30 degrees Celsius. It was full-on summer, so we dressed lightly. This spring has been quite unpredictable; a few days ago, it was 10-12 degrees and now it's suddenly 27-30 degrees. It got really hot all of a sudden. So, we all wore light summer clothes.

In the private properties, there are beautiful fountains, sculptures, bridges and exceptionally stunning columns. We haven't seen anything like this before; it's gorgeous. Our goal was to hike up to a small cabin on a hilltop and see this beauty from above.

Not far from the parking area, there's a small creek with ice-cold mountain water. It's called Burgbach and it rushes down these high cliffs, eventually reaching the Wolf River below. We found some shade and cooled off a bit, but we got quite sunburnt from being in the sun. The water was freezing cold. In this little cabin, there's a door and people have left notes and even photos. It's like a tiny shop. A bottle of beer is 3 euros, schnapps is 1.5 euros, or you can get liquor. There's also a drink called apple soda, a mix of apple juice and soda water. It's delightful a perfect spot to grab a drink and cool off along the way. There's even a small waterfall next to it!

Friends, as I mentioned earlier, we walked a bit from the parking area and saw the waterfall peeking out from behind the pine trees. The waterfall is nestled among the rocks and cascades down from quite a height 32 meters, to be exact. It's one of the tallest waterfalls in Germany, which makes it a fascinating spot. The path leading to the waterfall is beautiful, with stone steps that seem to have been lovingly crafted. 🌲

The waterfall is stunning. The water is icy cold and we couldn't keep our hands in for long. And here it is, with sheer rock faces side by side. It’s incredibly beautiful. The rocks have been hanging there for centuries, composed of hardened sandstone. But below, there's softer granite, which creates hollows where the water crashes. It's a place that's both beautiful and intimidating.

It's a unique waterfall, with water streaming down like threads, glistening in the sunlight, creating a fairy-tale effect. Just amazing! On the slope, the sun was warming us up, but here, we were freezing, almost felt like we needed jackets. The coolness was unbelievable. ❄️

What a fantastic place; nature gives us such wonderful views. It's great to see this natural beauty at a time when everything is melting and summer is arriving. It's worth getting up from your chair to see the scenery that nature provides. From afar, these places might not be visible, but beautiful spots are everywhere. Let's keep our eyes open, find these gems and enjoy them.

We left the waterfall behind and started climbing up toward a hill. There was a cabin and a viewing platform there. That's where we wanted to go. Below, there were steep cliffs and our feet were a bit shaky as we walked.

We finally reached the cabin, a small structure. There's a really steep drop. The view is spectacular. There's a viewing platform. The scenery is amazing, with red rocks and green vegetation.
