In my visit to Rome I could not miss a visit to the Vatican museums and especially the Sistine Chapel, for those who are Catholics in this place we can see many stories that we have been told in our training, but for those who do not follow the religion is a place with a lot of history, art and architecture, so it will always be a good choice in our visit to Italy.
Just to have the joy of visiting the smallest state in the world in terms of size and population is worth visiting this incredible place, in addition to observing the incredible works of Michelangelo, art collections, architecture and even Egyptian mummies we will find in this tour.
To enter this tour you have two options, one is to hire a private tour with a guide in Spanish in my opinion in this type of places are recommended because you save a lot of time and you also learn in detail of the exhibitions, but instead if you want to go for free you can also purchase a ticket at the entrance and you do it at your leisure. However, I recommend that you buy your ticket in advance for your visit because if you wait until the last minute it could cost you three times the price. To get to the museums, as well as to any other point of interest mentioned above inside the Vatican the first thing we will have to do is to get to the border of this country, because if the Vatican is inside the city of Rome and both in practice and in theory this is another country, There are two entrances for non-residents to get to the Vatican, one through the entrance that goes to the museums and the other that goes through the basilica and St. Peter's Square, in this case we enter through the museums and exit through the basilica and take advantage of visiting it at the exit for free.
It is also of utmost importance that you know the schedules before making your visit since it is only open from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 18 Pm and I also give a super interesting tips and is that if your visit coincides with the last Sunday of each month you could have free access to the museums. In addition, like any religious city it is important to avoid wearing necklines, sleeveless shirts, shorts, as they tend to have very strict rules regarding dress.
At the time of planning my visit to Rome, I had already studied all the alternatives I had to visit the museums and I had decided to do it with a guide and I got it in Spanish and thus make the most of the time as best as possible, since I wanted to be out at noon, to eat and in the afternoon visit the Roman Colosseum, so I needed to have everything very timed to have two quality experiences. In the following photograph Michelangelo shows us on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel a work called the Ass of God, in this work God simply shows us his divine ass and we could think that perhaps in the midst of so much work that Michelangelo had during this week he could be distracted and omitted to paint the cover on this part of the body. Let's see, nowhere in history had I known or seen any other image in which God would show us his sacred parts and in his absence they tried to partially conceal the nudity of our God with some images next to him to make it seem unnoticed, We are told during the tour that the scene of God's ass is one of the most difficult to understand within the Catholic Church and it can be presumed that Michelangelo at this time, wanted to play a joke on the Vatican or that it was a provocation in which the painter showed his ass to the rest of the world. In theory it took me by surprise and it was not in my mind or in my research before traveling that there was such a situation inside the chapel and I thought it was very important to highlight it, however, what this produces is to give more interest and above all neatness to what is the Sistine Chapel itself.
Once we finished our tour of the Sistine Chapel we went to a spiral staircase, although it is not part of some of the important museums in the Vatican, it is very famous because being a simple spiral staircase has a very particular curiosity, and is that its steps are made to go up on one side and down the other, mysteriously I would not know how they could reach such a feat but if you do not believe me I invite you to check it out.
En mi visita por Roma no podía dejar de pasar desapercibida una visita por los museos del Vaticano y especialmente la capilla Sixtina, para quienes somos católicos en este lugar podemos observar muchas historias que nos han contado en nuestra formación, pero para los que no siguen la religión es un lugar con mucha historia, arte y arquitectura, así que siempre será una buena opción en nuestra visita por Italia.
Y es que solo por tener la dicha de visitar el estado mas pequeño del mundo como en tamaño y población vale la pena visitar este increíble lugar, además de observar las increíbles obras de Miguel Angel, colecciones de arte, arquitectura y si hasta momias egipcias encontraremos en este recorrido.
Para adéntranos en este recorrido tienes dos opciones, una es contratando un tour privado con guía en español a mi parecer en este tipo de lugares son recomendados porque te ahorras mucho tiempo y además enteras al detalle de las exposiciones, pero en cambio si quieres ir a por libre también puedes adquirir un billete en la entrada y lo realizas a tu gusto. Eso si te recomiendo que para tu visita compres con antelación la entrada ya que si esperas a último momento te podría salir al triple del costo. En la página Web de Los Museos del Vaticano, encontraras información de las tarifas en sus diferentes modalidades, ten presente que la página Web solo está en idioma italiano e inglés.

En nuestra visita por el Vaticano principalmente tenemos como destinos principales el Museo del Vaticano y su capilla Sixtina, La basílica de San Pedro y su grandiosa plaza, así como también tendrás alternativas de subir a la cúpula de la basílica o caminar entre sus jardines, pero en este post no dedicaremos exclusivamente a la capilla Sixtina y los museos del vaticano.

Para llegar a los museos, así como a cualquier otro punto de interés mencionados anteriormente dentro del Vaticano lo primero que tendremos que hacer es llegar a la frontera de este país, pues si el vaticano está dentro de la ciudad de Roma y tanto en la práctica como en teoría este es otro país , existen dos accesos para los que somos No Residentes para llegar al vaticano, una por la entrada que va a los museos y la otra que va por la basílica y plaza de san pedro, en este caso entramos por los museos y saldríamos por la basílica y aprovechas visitarla a la salida de forma gratuita.
También es de suma importancia que conozcas los horarios antes de realizar tu visita ya que solo esta abierta de lunes a sábado de 09 am a 18 Pm y además de doy un tips super interesante y es que si tu visita coincide con el último domingo de cada mes podrías tener acceso gratuito a los museos. Además, como toda ciudad religiosa en importante tengas como recomendación evitar el uso de escotes, camisas sin mangas, pantalones cortos, ya que suelen tener normas muy estrictas en cuanto a la vestimenta.
Al momento de planificar mi visita por Roma, ya había estudiado todas las alternativas que tenía para visitar los museos y me había decidido realizarla con guía y la he conseguido en español y así aprovechar el máximo el tiempo lo mejor posible, ya que quería estar fuera a medio día, poder comer y por la tarde visitar el Coliseo Romano, así que necesitaba tener todo muy cronometrado para poder tener dos experiencias de calidad. Entonces para aprovechar el día mi visita he reservado en la primera visita a las 9:00 am esta visita guiada tendría una duración aproximada de tres horas por lo que estaría terminando cerca a las 12 del mediodía.

A pesar de que estés en Tour te recomiendo que tomas un Mapa en la entrada del Museo y poder estudiarlo al detalles y resaltes los puntos de mayor interés para ti, contarles todo que he visto en el museo en este post sería una osadía sin embargo te estaré detallando las salas y exposiciones que más me han gustado y disfrutado.

Si eres un apasionado de ver pinturas y obras de arte como sala principal tenemos La Pinacoteca , en esta tenemos una variedad de pinturas de los artistas mas famosos que pusiesen existir, tales como Caravaggio o Bernini que son unos de mis preferidos y les conocí en los textos de artes mientras estudiaba en la secundaria , seguidamente encontramos el Pabellón de las Carrozas, se dice que Pablo VI era coleccionista de este tipo se vehículos y acá existe una variedad de coches que han sido usados por diferentes papas durante la historia, en esta sala lo mas impresionante es la Berlina de gran gala y los papamóviles que han pasado por nuestras ciudades en la visita de los papas a diversos países.

Seguidamente en un primer pasillo al aire libre nos encontramos con una estructura impresionante llamada La Esfera, decorando el patio con su brillo de bronce esta obra de arte representa un mundo perfecto y a la vez un lugar lleno de muchas imperfecciones, interesante detallarla lo mejor posible y sacar nuestras conclusiones.

En la sala siguiente tenemos un Museo Egipcio en ella la dedican especialmente a la representación de los trajes funerarios utilizados por estos y además tiene varios sarcófagos y dos momias cuidando la sala..

Sin embargo la siguiente sala para mi es una de las mas representativas antes de llegar a la capilla Sixtina y es la Galería de los Mapas, ya con solo ver el techo tu cabeza comienza a dar vuelta y buscar explicaciones en concreto de qué manera se consiguió pintar semejantes obras de arte a esta altura y en las condiciones de poca tecnología para esa época de los siglos XVI que fueron pintados, acá admiramos no tanto el techo si no los mapas a los lados de ambas paredes y la exactitud de sus trazos y formas con las que están realizados.

Luego se caminar un par de salas con estructuras de bronce y yeso vemos uno de los letreros más esperados desde que entramos a los museos y es la flecha que nos llevara a La Capilla Sixtina describirles a esta joya artística escapa un poco de mis manos y conocimientos de arte es algo que tienes que ver en persona y puedas apreciar cada detalle y la perfección con lo que esta expuesto. Acá migue Angel se encargo de realizar una hermosa restructuración de lo que estaba anteriormente donde como foco principal destaco El juicio final y a mi parecer una de las pinturas mas destacadas es la llamada El Culo de Dios.

Resulta muy interesante destacar que durante nuestra entrada a la capilla Sixtina nos comenta el guía que esta terminantemente prohibida la toma de fotografías y el motivo principal no es para proteger las obras de artes, comenta nuestra guía que en los años no sé cuáles, había que realizar una importante reparación a la capilla, sin embargo la iglesia no tenía los recursos suficientes y los chinos gentilmente se encargaron de hacer toda la restauración sin importar el costo que causaría tal obra, con la única condición de tener todos los derechos de autor de todas las fotografías y vídeos publicados en cualquier medio digital e impreso, vamos que en teoría los chinos querían es ganar dinero por cualquier foto publicada en medios digitales por un periodo de 40 a 50 años.

En la siguiente fotografía Miguel Ángel nos muestra sobre el techo de la Capilla Sixtina una obra llamada el Culo de Dios, en esta obra sencillamente pues Dios nos muestra su divino culo y podríamos pensar que quizás en medio de tanto trabajo que tenía Miguel Ángel durante esta semana se pudo distraer y omitió pintar la tapadera en esta parte del cuerpo. A ver, en ninguna parte de la historia yo había conocido o había visto ninguna otra imagen en la que Dios nos enseñará sus partes sagradas y en su defecto trataron de disimular de forma parcial la desnudez de nuestro Dios con unas imágenes a su lado para que parezca desapercibida, nos comentan durante el recorrido que la escena del culo de Dios es una de las incógnitas más difíciles de entender dentro de la Iglesia católica y se puede presumir que Miguel Ángel en este entonces, quería gastarle una broma al Vaticano o que se trataba de una provocación en el que el pintor le enseñaba el culo al resto del mundo. A ver a ver con este pequeño relato lo que quiero plasmar es mi impresión en relación a este descubrimiento, ya que en teoría me tomó por sorpresa y no estaba en mi mente o en mis investigaciones antes de viajar que existía tal situación dentro de la capilla y me pareció muy importante destacarlo, sin embargo, pues esto lo que produce es darle mayor interés y sobre todo pulcritud a lo que es la Castilla Sixtina en sí.
Una vez finalizado nuestro recorrido por la Capilla Sixtina nos dirigimos a una escalera en forma de caracol, que si bien no forma parte de algunos de los museos importantes dentro del Vaticano, la misma es muy es muy famosa ya que al ser una simple escalera de caracol tiene una curiosidad muy particular, y es que sus escalones están hechos para subir por un lado y bajar por el otro, misteriosamente no sabría cómo pudieron llegar a tal hazaña pero si no me crees te invito a que lo puedas comprobar.

Me gustó tu recorrido. Creo que nosotros reservamos el mismo tour pero a mi parecer se me hizo muy corta la visita al museo vaticano. Yo me habría quedado ahí todo el día porque la religión me da igual pero el arte es el arte jaja y sobre todo lo que más me interesaba era la parte del antiguo Egipto ya que desde pequeña me ha interesado mucho esa cultura y todo lo relacionado a la egiptología. Pero todo lo demás en general me hizo estar con dolor de cuello mirando todos los techos y los detalles que habían en ellos.
