Hello there!
Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries, such as Japan (Tokyo, Osaka and Hokkaido), Maldives, Indonesia (Bali and Yogyakarta), I was going through my past travels to see which would be the next interesting country or city to share, and I finally shortlisted New York, USA!
As you would have known from my past posts, my first trip to USA was a work trip to New York. Because I only had two days for sightseeing, I wrote about how I had to speed run through some of the major attractions in New York. You can read all about them here:
USA - Speed Running Through New York: Top Of The Rock

Several years later, I actually managed to visit USA again, and this time, it was for a holiday to the West Coast of USA and because the trip spanned across two weeks, there's definitely lots to unpack and share so sit back, and enjoy the sharings!
The first stop was to the City Of Angels, which is none other than Los Angeles! It was a long flight via a stopover in Seoul, Korea and we were pretty tired and jetlagged by the time we reached there.
One of the first attractions to visit was OUE Skyspace. As you would all know by now, one of my favourite activities to do in new cities would be to go up an observatory and soak in the bird's eye view of the entire city. It's always very interesting because each city has a different layout and planning due to its culture, history, etc. So it was no different this time at Los Angeles!
Note: I did a Google check and found that this attraction had already been closed. So I guess it makes it more valuable that I managed to experience this a couple of years ago.
And we reached the top! Thankful for the good weather and we managed to get a blue skies and a clear view all the way out.

It was quite nice to see that there were some mountains or terrains far out into the horizon, which was definitely a view that I would never get here in my country.

This one has to be my favourite photo - everything just looked perfect in this. Unlike New York, there weren't that many skyscrapers so it's a different view and it's more scenic in a way too.

We still had some time on our hands so we headed to Chinatown in Los Angeles. Unlike the Chinatown in Asian cities, Chinatown in Los Angeles was of a much smaller scale which was expected. I went with the expectations just to see what it was like.

Nothing unusual, as most would expect seeing some Asian/Chinese structures, some lanterns, and of course some Chinese eateries.

So that was a good warm up to the start of this long trip to the West Coast of USA. A pretty light itinerary keeping in mind that we were jetlagged and had to gradually adjust our body clock. It would get more exciting, I promise!
So that's all I have today! Have you been to Los Angeles before? Let me know in the comments below!
