During the days I spent in Antioquia, one of the places I enjoyed the most was the municipality of "Sabaneta", a small city that is a couple of minutes from Medellín where it is very easy to imagine living a full life, and, perhaps for this reason, it is a sector that has recently gained a lot of popularity both among Colombians and among those immigrants who are looking for a nice place to live with relatively affordable prices and a generally family atmosphere.

I admit that unlike other parts of Antioquia that I got to know before arriving in Sabaneta, I did not have much faith in it, however, it was one of the places in the entire department that I liked the most, a consequence of an organic mix between city and town elements that provide a pleasant experience, full of life but at the same time much calmer than we could expect.

Unlike Medellín, Sabaneta felt much more comfortable to walk around, with short distances between most of the places of interest, and being characterized by a large number of residential spaces.

The cafés (flagship establishments in every corner of Antioquia) became more frequent and intimate, and the dining options were varied and affordable.

One of my favorite parts was visiting the garden and the house of culture. A building of high cultural value that is very well preserved and that tourists are free to explore for free, this area has a theater in which plays are performed regularly, and, at the top, a viewing platform with an immense sculpture of the Virgin of Carmen from which you can comfortably observe the entire skyline of the city.

Sabaneta for me was a perfect synthesis of all the good things that Colombia has to offer, and although it is important to recognize that my vision as a tourist is very limited, it is evident that it is a space full of harmony and prosperity among its inhabitants.

The central area of the town is very attractive, with a constant market where we can find typical sweets and food of all kinds, which surround the Church of the Parish of Santa Ana. You can eat outside comfortably or walk around for a while seeing all the things that the surroundings have to offer.

Accessing the metro was relatively easy (considering that we traveled from the center of Medellin) and the weather was very pleasant, it is flat, the people are friendly and it has a very decent quality of life. It is a place that I totally recommend to visit, and I dare to say that is pretty good to live.

You Rockkk!!! 👍😎🔥📸❤️
