Hello people few days ago I with my family finally visited National Police Memorial. We were planning it to visit and then finally we got chance to visit. It is exactly located at Pandit Uma Shankar Dikshit Marg, Diplomatic Enclave, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, Delhi 110011. This national police memorial commemorates the 34,844 police personnel from all of the central and state police forces in India who have died in the line of duty since the nation's Independence in 1947. When we entered the was a shop of souvenir. We entered the shop and there were amazing things.
After the shop there was name of people engraved on wall(police officer’s of different states). After in right there was this rock this very precious because this is made up of black granite. And it has a weight of 238 tones. It colour and weight symbolises the sacrifice by the policeman. It was brought from Khammam in Telangana. This stone has height of 30 ft. To bring it from Telangana in 30 days. And this come in many containers because of the size. Therefore it is proudly showcased in national police memorial. After seeing this amazing stone we entered the main building. In the main building there were informants photo frames which gave information of different people.
In entry there was a table to write review about the memorial. You might be wondering why to write review in starting. This is because the entry and exit gate both are same. That’s why while leaving we have to write review.
After that in left there is a structure of the the full memorial. In straight of the entrance there was these statues of policeman’s and gun was also showcased. And a surprising thing was that the gun displayed are real guns. And one great thing was that if someone doesn’t know which gun is it on a batch the name is written with model. After guns there were these soldiers statue holding a gun and not just soldiers there were many others. Then at many places the computer was set up with headphone to tell a specific thing with visualisation and audio.
I tried that too and it was a great experience after the audio thing we saw a movie that described that how the national police memorial was made and how that stone was brought from Telangana. After that we wrote our review about the memorial obviously it was superb. Then we left from main memorial and sit for couple of minutes in the grass field and then left. It was a superb experience at the national police memorial. If you also visits their you will not regret your decision. And especially the staff their were so friendly and guided in a such a friendly nature.

I think it's very important to visit memorial as a part of our history and traditions and for remembering who sacrifice their life for us, I don't know much about Indian history so I'm happy you did this post so I learn something new!
