Trip to my city's zoo (Eng-Esp)

Hello world travelers!

Today I'm going to tell you about a recent visit I made to my city's zoo. It was a visit that brought back mixed feelings, but one that I somehow needed.

Mixed feelings, why? Because, as a lover of wild animals, it truly makes me sad to see so many animals locked up and in poor habitat conditions. But on the other hand, it's undeniable that visiting places like this allows you to disconnect a bit from the city and everyday life, and to recharge your batteries if you approach the visit from a positive perspective.

This zoo, called Camilo Cienfuegos, although not far from the city center, its spacious, tree-covered surroundings give one the feeling of being in a more natural space, I repeat, despite the actual conditions.

Since there aren't many places to take children or families for walks in the city, it's nice to visit the zoo and show our children various animals that aren't found in their natural state in the country, teaching them that they should be cared for and loved.

The faces of the apes really made me feel very sad...

The tour passes through different areas with fauna typical of Africa, Asia, and the Americas, mostly.

There are various species of apes, birds, reptiles, and felines.

In the case of felines, I was shocked by the state of malnutrition and poor care in which the lion is found.

Fortunately, the cheetahs are in good health, as are the hyenas, deer, and wild boars.

Zebras are also perceived as having adequate care and even optimal reproductive health. However, the African antelope appears too thin.

I finish the tour back in the hyena's cage. Her face says it all, despite her well-fed condition. But it still makes me sad that we have to see those who should be free in this state.

¡Hola viajeros del mundo!

Hoy les contaré sobre una reciente visita que hice al zoológico de mi ciudad. Fue una visita que me trajo sentimientos ambiguos, pero que necesitaba de alguna manera.

¿Sentimientos ambiguos por qué? Pues porque, como amante de los animales en libertad que soy, me provoca tristeza ver a tantos animales encerrados y en malas condiciones de hábitat realmente. Pero por otro lado, es que resulta indiscutible que visitar sitios así a uno le permite desconectar un poco de la ciudad y lo cotidiano para de alguna manera cargar energías si se toma la visita desde lo positivo.

Este zoológico, llamado Camilo Cienfuegos, si bien no está tan alejado del centro de la ciudad, su entorno amplio cubierto de árboles le brinda a uno la sensación de que sí está en otro espacio más natural, repito, a pesar de las condiciones reales existentes.

Comoquiera que en la ciudad no hay muchos sitios a los que llevar a pasear a los niños o a las familias, se agradece visitar al zoológico y enseñarles a nuestros hijos diversos animales que no se encuentran en su estado natural en el país, enseñarles que deben cuidarse y amarlos.

Los rostros de los simios realmente me transmitieron mucha tristeza...

El recorrido transita por diferentes espacios con faunas típicas de áfrica, asia y américa en su mayoría.

Hay diversas especies de simios, aves, reptiles, felinos.

En el caso de los felinos, me impactó el estado de mal nutrición y cuidado en que se encuentra el león.

Por suerte los guepardos sí están en buenas condiciones de salud al igual que las hienas, los venados y los jabalíes.

Las cebras también se perciben con adecuada atención e incluso óptima salud reproductiva. Sin embargo, el antílope africano se ve demasiado delgado.

Finalizo el recorrido nuevamente en la jaula de la hiena. Su rostro dice todo, a pesar de esta bien alimentada. Pero igual, se me torna triste que tengamos que ver en ese estado a quienes debieran estar libres.
