Hello everyone!
Pattaya is a city of contrasts, where luxury and oblivion coexist. Walking along its streets, I came across a two-story mini-hotel, which, apparently, was once a real pearl. On the first floor there is a spacious lobby, a mini-bar and three rooms, each with a private mini-pool. On the second floor there are five cozy rooms. Everything suggests that life was once in full swing here.
The stairs leading up are already rusty, but despite the rust and traces of desolation, the metal remains strong. It is obvious that they were built with a reserve for many years. Now they look ominous, like a symbol of the past, but still retain a sense of reliability.
Inside there is emptiness, reflections of former luxury are guessed only by the details.
The lobby surprisingly retains a luxurious, large chandelier, and stylish pendant lamps hang nearby. They are like the remains of an old performance that has long since ended, but no one has removed the scenery, reminding us how much work and money was invested in this place. But something happened three years ago, and the hotel fell into disrepair.
Now completely different people live within these walls. Abandoned buildings in Pattaya often become a haven for the homeless, and this hotel was no exception. On the second floor, I accidentally stumbled upon one of them. He was lying in the window opening. I involuntarily stopped, but he opened his eyes, only calmly said hello and immediately fell asleep again. He is comfortable here, and this dilapidated hotel has become a home for him, albeit temporary.
There are many such places in Pattaya. Once thriving businesses turn into ruins for various reasons - economic instability, a pandemic, loss of tourist flow, or simply wrong decisions. Looking at this hotel, I felt sad. After all, behind every destroyed wall is someone's dream, idea, the efforts of many people. And now, from the former luxury, only dusty rooms and silence remain.
Someone's dreams, hopes and thousands of hours of work, which are now turning into dust.
However, despite all this desolation, I could not help but notice that such places have their own special atmosphere. They are like silent witnesses of the past, who continue to stand, watching how life goes on.

I have the same thoughts as you. This was once someones dream. Its too bad it went under as even in its current state one can see how awesome the place might of once been.
It's so offensive - in such situations I always put myself in the place of a person who has achieved some heights, built such beauty (they even have marble floors, and you can't buy a chandelier like that in the store around the corner) and then collapse...
That's a grea little find, loving the hanging chandeliers

I'll try - it's a pity that here in abandoned buildings there are rarely interior items and other things left - I think that everything valuable is taken away by poor people.
