Hello everyone!
The holidays have exhausted everyone, including me.
It was impossible to force myself to sit down and write, even a couple of lines. I have accumulated photo material and I realized that if I don’t start now, then I won’t be able to sort out this large amount of information later.
I have already told you about the New Year celebration in the Thai kindergarten. But today we will talk about the New Year celebration in the Russian community.
I already knew where it would take place: a small cafe and very dark for photography. So, armed with a camera and a flash, we went to the celebration!
The host handed out blanks for creating a gingerbread house and the children and their mothers began to race to build houses in the hope of winning a prize for the most beautiful house.
Later, "Father Frost" and "Snegurochka" arrived at the party!
In Russia, on New Year's Eve, it is not Santa Claus who comes to the children, but Father Frost and his granddaughter Snegurochka (the name is derived from the word Snow).
Fun contests and dances began (it was very funny to watch). I remembered my childhood and imagined how fun they were having now, and my mood also improved.
only I could bend like that )
For the first time in my life, I took photos with a flash (I ruined a lot of pictures) in a cramped, dark room with children running around. But I still think a few shots are good.
This holiday became a special moment for us, which united all the guests. Such meetings remind us how important it is to preserve and pass on our traditions, especially when you are far from your homeland. I want such memories to remain not only in photographs, but also in the hearts - of adults, children and, of course, my son.
Thank you for sharing these moments with me! Until new stories and new holidays!

What a nice post, so tender. I think it's really important to preserve our tradition, also because we have to make "globalization" a constructive process in which we won't lose our identities in an undefined melting pot.
Congratulations, and happy new year :)
Absolutely agree. The kids should know not only about Santa-Claus and coca-cola but also about Ded Moroz and his daughter Sneguroshka, as well 🎁
Exactly. And as an Italian, I find wonderful and fascinating to travel the world and experience different traditions :)
My youngest son doesn't even know about Santa Claus - I think he'll be shocked when he finds out that someone else brings presents. 😂😂😂
As long as gifts arrive in time, there is no need to worry about possible shock. 😜
