Being a Catholic in the Archdiocese of Jakarta feels incomplete if you haven't visited the Jakarta Cathedral museum. If you have the opportunity more than once, it would be better, after that you can pray in the church or in front of Mary's grotto. Why is it highly recommended for those who have the opportunity? Because of the environment, our parishes are in their "parent hierarchy" in this diocese. During holidays from work, school, etc., we continue to travel to other places. It's strange to have visited Singapore, Hong Kong, Europe, but never before your eyes
We can know many things apart from the history and also the collection of historical evidence. The Cathedral Museum was founded by Father Rudolphus Kurris SJ and inaugurated on April 28 1991 by Mgr Julius Darmaatmaja SJ. The cathedral museum has a large collection of the history of the Indonesian Catholic church. So it would be good for Catholics throughout Indonesia, even the world, for those who have the opportunity, to visit the Jakarta Cathedral Museum. Below are some of the collections of this museum.
There are a lot of historical collections from the Jakarta Cathedral museum that can be seen as evidence of history that has happened, this is a source of pride for us, meaning that this museum still holds a lot of memories from this church that once had a big name in the city of Jakarta.
That's it for all friends, for the journey and history of this museum, hopefully it will broaden our insight,
Thank You
