A morning walk at Burnham Park, ending our Baguio Trip

in Worldmappin2 days ago

Our DIY trip to Baguio City is worth it, a lot of place we visited and we get to explore and discover beautiful sceneries around the city.

It was our 3rd day in Baguio and this is our last day visiting great place here. Before heading home, we planned to visit Burnham Park and explore around shortly. It was 7:00 in the morning and we had to catch a ride by bus at 10:00 in the morning. So we decided to take a short walk here for a while and bought "pasalubong" at the Pasalubong Center.

Burnham Park officially know as Burnham Park Reservation is a vibrant park located at the heart of Baguio City. This large parks occupies approximately 32.84 hectares in the city of pines. It was named after Daniel H. Burnham, an American architect and urban planner who played a significant role in designing the city of Baguio.

This vibrant and enchanting park was surrounded with pine trees in every corner. The smell of the morning breeze of pines and the air blowing around brings additional coldness to the place.

At the center you can see a man-made lake where people find it important because it's for recreational purposes. This man-made lake is use for swan lake riding.

For a memorable experience, you can rent one swan boat for an hour or half an hour and enjoy relaxing moment with the trees in the morning or in mid afternoon or even night time they also had swan boat riding. You can choose your own style of swans. And it's an option if you rent a paddler for you or you will be the one to paddle at the center with your friends or family or solo.

Another best thing you can do in the park is doing recreational activities such as Zumba dancing with your group, having a morning walks and jogs. When we visit the place, a lot of Zumba dance groups were dancing everywhere. Because of the huge space this park occupies, so it's an opportunity for the dancers to have an open space for you to practice your dance moves. And if you want to have a short walk and jog, yes this place is also for you. It's open for everyone who wish to visit the place for it's for free.

I see a lot of families and friends who have their picnic inside the park. The green grasses around brings comfy for you to sit and enjoy every minute. And children could play on the vast ground. Burnham Park also hosts children playground and orchidarium which adds to the attraction of the tourists visiting the city.

And near the park you can also see the beautiful Igorot Garden Park with amazing statues of their great ancestors.

After a short walk to the park, we had to go back to our room to pack our things and headed home afterward. As we walk near the park, we find this cute signage outside saying "Breathe Baguio". It only reminds us that each one of us should be a responsible traveler wherever we go. Enjoy the place but we should keep in mind the responsibility not to damage the beautiful place and do not leave your trash everywhere.

That's all for today's blog. I hope you enjoy reading and giving a little upvote. Enjoy every moment while making great memories.

Have a nice day everyone 😊
