Joana was curious about this place
Finally me and Joana found a time slot together and we decided to grab a quick coffee to have a quick chat and spend some time together. So she have suggested to go to this place she have walked by a couple of times and she was curious to try. And that's what we did.
I can say that the place looked promising. The decoration was nice and the space looked cool. We were greeted by a nice lady, and I can tell you now (spoiler alert) the coffee was actually really nice.
But also, and unfortunately, this is where the good news end. Let's take a look at the place and I will let you know more about the experience in a second
Joana, the order, the coffee and the food
I have had some food before I left home, but since we have planned this so quickly and Joana still had to go and have a training session (she is an amazing Aerial Circus performer), she needed to grab a snack to keep her energy going.
We both decided to grab a latte, she got it with oat milk, and she have ordered as well, eggs on toast.
We took a sit, went to the bar to order, and after ordering everything together we had to wait quite a while until the coffees to be served. And the worst is that we were the ONLY customers there, no one else in the shop.
After a long wait, as I said before, we got our coffees. But there was no sign of the toast. The only reason Joana ordered "Eggs on Toast" (and remember this name) it was because we did not had a lot of time. So we had a 40 minutes window to grab coffee, a snack and chat. Some would say that would be more than enough. But at this point after we receive the coffees we are already 20 minutes in.
So we at least enjoyed our coffees while we were getting the chat up to date. Because it have been a while since we been together.
But now get ready to probably see the most said "Eggs on Toast" you have seen in a long time. I have to say that not even when I do the most lazy eggs on toast at home look as sad as this ones.
We have 5 minutes before Joana have to leave to be in time for her training session. So she goes to the person that was working to ask for it.
unfortunately she was just sitting in a table with a friend chatting, and she tell her that is ready and will bring it to her straight away. And she did that. So the eggs and toast were just standing there while she was chatting away.
Other thing is that when she ordered she was offered the choices between fried eggs or scramble, she chose the first option, and unfortunately the lady didn't even got that part right.
And remember, if you order "eggs in toast" in this place, that's exactly what you will get, nothing else, just 2 dry toasts and some eggs.
As I said in the beginning the coffee was very nice and so the lady. But the food and service, unfortunately was not the best. So most likely I wouldn't recommend or even visit this place again myself.
