Hey guys! It's @shassays again ✨ Today, I am excited to share my experience in Little Santorini, located in Liloan, Cebu. Last month, a close friend of mine invited me to a birthday celebration held in Little Santorini. I didn't hesitate to say yes, as the idea of spending time surrounded by nature and getting a taste of Santorini vibes sounded so perfect to me. Let me tell you—it didn't disappoint. It's one of the best resort attractions in town!
What is Little Santorini?
It is inspired by the famous island of Santorini, also known as Thira, it is a volcanic island located in the Aegean Sea, part of Greece's Cyclades group of islands. Little Santorini captures the charm of Greece with its whitewashed walls, blue domes, and breathtaking views. It's like stepping into a postcard! For those who dream of traveling to Santorini but can't just yet, this place offers a slice of that magic in Liloan, Cebu.
There are two pools, the main pool and the kiddie pool which is right above the main one, with a small slide set in the middle. Just like other mountain resorts in Cebu, you can book an overnight stay there.
How to get there?
Little Santorini is located in Barangay San Roque, Liloan, Cebu. It is approximately an hour away from Cebu City and just 15 minutes from the main road, heading uphill. If you are going to commute, you can start from SM City Cebu or Ayala Center Cebu and take a jeepney, bus, or v-hire bound for Liloan. Once you reach the Yati intersection near Yati Elementary School, you can ride a habal-habal or motorbike that will take you directly to Little Santorini Mountain Resort. If you're traveling by car, the easiest way to reach Little Santorini Mountain Resort is by using navigation apps like Google Maps. Simply set your destination to "Little Santorini Mountain Resort, Liloan, Cebu." Don't worry about parking because there's enough space available at the resort.
My Experience
When we arrived, I was immediately struck by how peaceful and scenic the place was. It's so hilly! You have to go downhill, but when you reach the top, you'll sigh—not because you're tired, but because of the scenery. The moment we paid the entrance fee, I couldn't stop taking pictures, haha! I really enjoyed my time there. The pool was amazing, and swimming with my friends was so much fun! I only tried the slide once because I was a bit scared; the pool felt so deep that I had to tiptoe. After swimming, we ate together. The foods were all scrumptious. My favorite were the mango tapioca pearl and spaghetti! I ate a lot and enjoyed the foods.
My favorite moment? Just standing there and taking in the view, I swear it felt like a quick escape to another world. Honestly, the whole vibe is so calming. It's great for a day trip with friends. I explored the area together with my friend, took photos, and enjoyed the calming atmosphere.
Why Visit Little Santorini?
This is the perfect spot if you're into adventure and love awe-inspiring scenery. The roads leading to the place are a treat on their own because it's tucked away in the mountains. You will catch beautiful views of the surrounding peaks, making the trip just as exciting as the destination. Little Santorini stands out because of its green surroundings.
At Little Santorini, you will see a lot of blue and white everywhere. The buildings are designed like the ones in Santorini, with white walls and blue details. It looks really pretty with the green surroundings. The resort's main attraction is its two swimming pools. The main pool is big and spacious. You can lounge poolside while enjoying the view of the sunset behind the lush green mountains.
Would you go to this place? If you're looking to relax, take photos, or simply experience something new, this place has much to offer. Just be aware that the resort is usually packed on weekends and holidays, so if you want a more peaceful experience, visiting the place during the weekdays is best.
