The magical colors of Cumuruxatiba

in Worldmappin10 months ago

This is my penultimate post about my trip to Cumuruxatiba, in Bahia, from a short series of posts I've made about the destination here in this community. If you missed the others, I suggest you come back to my profile to check them out.

Today I'm talking about two tours I made in Cumuru. The first was an unpretentious walk along Praia do Rio do Peixe Pequeno, towards Rio do Peixe Grande, to pick up conch shells. The sunny scenery gave way to a rainfall that surprised us halfway through, but guaranteed the most beautiful colors I could see in the sky. A brilliant grey that contrasted with the color of the sea.

And speaking of surprises, I had the most beautiful one of the whole trip: the chance to see a rainbow forming on the horizon and making for an unforgettable landscape.

The rain meant that we returned home ahead of schedule, but the next day we went out again for a walk. This time to Praia do Paraíso, which ends in a huge, colorful cliff. This is one of my favorite places in Cumuru, mainly because it is little visited and there are hardly any people there.

What's more, I can spend hours there just watching the magical colors of the cliffs shattering on the beach, leaving incredible pieces along the way. They look like real treasures!

For someone who loves art, it's irresistible not to photograph all the stones and their patterns. They really do look like they were created with paint and a brush. My camera roll came back absolutely full of these close-up images of the walls, as I fell completely in love with the color palette created by nature itself. Perhaps I'll use them to reproduce a drawing one day.

After visiting this spot, we drove off in the direction of Praia do Moreira. Another place that is one of the most beautiful in Cumuru, especially when the tide is low.
Unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky and the tide was very high during my visit, but the scenery is still heavenly, with stunning views. Because it's quite empty, the little crabs feel comfortable wandering around and it's a fun pastime to stare at them all.

I'll be back soon with the last chapter of this adventure!
See ya. 🌊
