Hello, my dearest friends!
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I had the chance to prepare a post about a place I visited last week, which I had forgotten to tell you about. But in reality, I think it’s a beautiful place, and I want to share the many photos I took there.
I’m talking about Pereta, a hamlet of the municipality of Magliano, which I had already introduced to you in a previous post. It is also located in the province of Grosseto, a very beautiful place situated about 280 meters above sea level, just 9 km from the town I had previously told you about.
As soon as I arrived, the thing that struck me the most was definitely its tower, but also its entrance gate, which is very beautiful and scenic. It’s true that you often come across these typical medieval gates with such beautiful battlements, certainly because this area has a rich history, especially between the 10th and 11th centuries.
Once inside the village streets, I could also admire the gate from behind. The narrow streets winding through this beautiful village became even narrower, but they allowed me to practically touch these stunning stone houses.
As I continued my walk, all of a sudden, I found myself standing beneath the magnificent clock tower—a towering structure visible from afar, which was probably used for civic purposes. It is very tall; I think it must be over 30 meters high.
I also noticed a beautiful staircase leading up to this stunning tower—a great way to take a lovely walk, but also to admire the breathtaking panorama that the Aldobrandeschi family, who built this place for military purposes, once enjoyed.
I must say that the closer I got to this tower, the more imposing it seemed to me. In my opinion, standing before such a significant historical landmark is truly moving.
I must also say that this part of the village is very charming. I stopped to admire these beautiful passageways that connect one part of a house to another—a very distinctive feature.
I hope the photos I shared were interesting! Walking through the streets of Pereta definitely gives you the feeling of stepping back in time, just like I always say—it’s like taking a trip in a time machine to another era.
See you in my next post, and I wish you all a great start to the week!

The place is very beautiful. There are various types of games in nature. Among them, such traditional places are still surviving, which is actually a great thing. Although the place has struck you, its entrance is actually beautiful and has a pleasant environment. The entrance in front of the tower looks great. You have presented it in a great way, thank you very much for sharing it with us.
Thank you so much for your words! 😊✨ It's true, these places rich in history and tradition have a special charm, and it's wonderful to see how they manage to resist over time. 🏰🌿 The entrance in front of the tower really has a unique, almost fairytale atmosphere!
Che carino anche Pereta, riesci sempre a trovare dei deliziosi borghi medievali ❤️❤️
grazie
By looking at the pictures it reminds me of the hard work of the ancient times where they were building it manually. It's really amazing and the fact that it was strongly built.
Hey everything looks like the Netflix series about the conquest era, everything is usually colonial and well preserved. I love that kind of architecture, but really what surprises me that it is so well preserved is tower to be 600 years old, and now that I think about it you left me with the doubt can you go up there? What about the tourist area in that little town?
The work and craftsmanship of the past can be felt in every stone, and it's incredible how these buildings have stood the test of time! 💪⏳ The history they convey makes the place even more special. Thank you for your beautiful thought!

I would like to visit this place. It looks like you are on a romantic movie. Nice passage ways and brick houses. And that is an amazing tower that it stand for 600 years.
The beauty is not merely skin-deep; it resonates with a profound sense of history, whispering tales of triumphs and tribulations, of innovations and traditions.
