Hello dearest friends!
Today, with immense joy, I want to share with you some photos I took in the town of Indicatore in the province of Arezzo. I happened to pass by there because I had heard about a story related to the Church of the Holy Spirit, located right in the town, which someone practically wanted to demolish. However, a part of the town's residents gathered in a committee, and thanks to Andreina Giorgia Carpenito, a great artist I had heard of before, but perhaps not known to those not in the field, they decided to gather experienced mosaic artists from around the world to create the world's largest modern mosaic.
So, I decided to go there and take some photos to share with you because I absolutely couldn't miss something like this, especially for someone like me who is deeply in love with art. Moreover, it is a pacifist opposition to what they want to do in this town.
As I understand it, the complete work will cover more than 3000 square meters, and the mosaic will represent the vision of Ezekiel. As I mentioned earlier, various mosaic artists and sculptors from around the world are participating in this project, representing different museums, and this is another thing I love about art – there are no national boundaries when it comes to creating a project.
By the way, they were very kind because on the day I visited, it wouldn't have been possible to visit the church or even the exterior where a part of the mosaic is located. However, I found a member of this association who was very kind. I must say I was impressed by this work of art, which ultimately made this place even more beautiful. I hope that once this is finished, it will be appreciated by many people, perhaps from all over the world.
So, the end is not far off, as you can see from the photos. Remember this place because, in my opinion, it's definitely worth a visit!
I'll see you in the next post. Thank you for dedicating time to my content. I hope you enjoyed it, and I appreciate the comments you always leave. Have a great day!
Those are cool mosaics! I lived in Sicily for 2 months last year, Italy is amazing! Btw, would love to see your posts at @travelfeed
Thank you for the comment, but have you been to Tuscany again!? I don't know what you're talking about. Is it an application or a new community?
I spent a lot of time in Puglia and Sicily last year, but haven't been back to Tuscany since I visited as a kid with my parents!
