If you are thinking about a trip to Asheville, North Carolina here are some great highlights!
I went with 4 of my dear friends and we rented a cute Airbnb in Asheville. We also rented a Tesla for the weekend. With 5 people we rotated who got to sit in the front cause the back seat is not made or comfortable for 3 grown women.
The house was lovely and very comfortable for the 5 of us.

Biltmore house
We had tickets to tour the house at 10am. Tickets for the Biltmore are quite expensive. For me, it was worth it! I want to go again! I really like historic houses and George Vanderbilt collected great art!

Biltmore Gardens
The house is a stunning 250 room mansion and it sits on 8000 acres. The gardens close to the house are wonderful. We went in April and the Azela gardens were in full bloom and the wisteria was gorgeous.

All Souls Church
Next we went to the All Souls Church which was designed by the same architect and built in 1896. It is a lovely church and has great stained glass that George commissioned when someone close to him died.

Blueridge Parkway
We took a Sunday afternoon drive along the Blueridge Parkway. It was beautiful and I am sure very stunning in the fall.

Lexington Glassworks
On Monday before we flew out we visited Lexington Glassworks in downtown Asheville. It is a gorgeous shop that blows the glass on site and visitors can watch.

I would like to go back to Asheville and explore more. These are the highlights from our quick weekend trip.
Blueridge Parkway looks really peaceful! As do the Biltmore Gardens. It sounds like you guys had a good balance between urban visiting and nature recharge :)

Everything is beautiful, Biltmore Gardens is very well decorated with plants, perfect for relaxing.
Yes, it was a very relaxing and educational. I relished learning about the home, people and art in the house and church.
