Recently my siblings and I went to the Lake of the Wood Lodge in Southern Oregon. It is half way between my brother's house and my sister's house in the Fremont-Winema National Forest and they often meet there for lunch or dinner.

Dad's doors
Father's Art - Lake of the Woods which is very fitting as it is my dad's birthday and he would have been 92 today!My dad's doors and panels are in the lodge! @jarvie posted about it today

The Lodge
The lodge is located on the Lake of the Woods lake which covers 1,146 acres (4.64 km2) and is a popular summer destination. My sister and I got there early and took a quick walk to the lake.

There is a general store and cabins next to the lodge.

We ate inside, as it was a cold winter day. The dining area has a very cozy feel and a great fireplace.
There is also beautiful outdoor seating with a great view of the lake. Kristen said that is where they usually eat.
It was so great to spend time with my family at such a beautiful place and so special to get to see my dad's art.

That's a beautiful lodge and what a treat to get to visit it and see your dad's art on permanent display. I can't think of a better way to honor him than to go sit in the presence of his tremendous skill. Nice for the family to meet there periodically.

This place reminds me of those mountain lakes in Romania, I can't wait for spring to come so I can visit them again.

I love to sit and watch nature to see how amazing it can be, I love to hike through nature, but I also love to read the posts here in the community when it comes to nature.
I'm lucky to have nature close by, by the way just today I went to a photo session, but unfortunately I didn't get to do much as I had a problem with the drone, tomorrow I'll go again to photograph nature.
Now it's winter in Romania, and in my part of the west of the country it's now -5 degrees, we have a little snow, the atmosphere created by the low temperatures is fairytale, even if I have to endure these temperatures I want to take some photos that I can share with you.
